You have been one of the more polite trolls, so I am going to be more polite with you. You have obviously not read the other 28 Gruden threads to see that your argument has been made and put aside hundreds of times. I appreciate your doubt, but it is not need or wanted in the GRUDEN threads.

If Mays had been told Gruden or some other home run hire was on the hook he would have waited it out. The fact he left leads me to believe we are not where we think we are.

I'm NOT a troll. I've been here on VolNation for a Decade, i LOVE my vols, i have 3 students there now (2 just about to Graduate) -- but thank you for your remarks.

I didn't read the 315 pages of threads, i'm a working man and i guess perhaps maybe i just should have stayed completely away. HAHA

I just heard my kids being hopeful about Gruden and I don't want them to be heartbroken. again. for the 10th time as Vols. :(

I'm quoting your post, but please don't take this as a shot at you. It's meant for the overall "I hate Butch" group.

The sentiments above may be correct, but isn't it entirely possible that he's just not willing to give up? Not willing to quit when faced with overwhelming adversity? These are the traits we want (demand?) from not only our players, but hopefully ourselves. I believe CBJ needs to go. But I also think he's a good person who has done what he's capable of to be successful. The personal vitriol is just unwarranted imo.

All that being said, bring on the Gru!

Apparently the recruits are completely in the dark about anything that might be going on at UT. It's been bungled horribly and Currie needs evaluated after this is all over. Someone isn't prepared at all for the requirements of their job and that someone appears to be John Currie.

If the AD is trying to keep things under wraps, they aren't going to tell high school kids. It would be on social media in 20 mins.

Tell your kids to stay hopeful! Gruden to the Hill! I seriously think Currie is too smart to let it get to this point and not say something. I also think JG loves UT too much to lead the fanbase on like this. He knows the rumors. All in for Gruden!
