Me too like the lack of a Strength and conditioning program. Have you seen the picture of the 98 team and the 16 team side by side both taken in the weight room? The difference is staggering.

Various media people are apparently less negative about grumors. Some believe in legs.

Why would John Gruden want to leave his easy job at ESPN and coach football? And why college? He would much prefer going back to the NFL since he’s afraid of the NCAA. Plus, we have coaches like Dan Mullen and Willie Taggart and Dave Doeren and Mike Dallas, I mean, Houston lining up to maintain our mediocrity. You Grudenites are just plum crazy.

That’s surprising. I thought everyone was confident that it was a done deal that no one could say no to? Except humans are just so unpredictable.

Yeah, dude! Exactly! Plus I'm sure you already heard JG jokingly said he would get a college team into trouble! Also, in case nobody mentioned it yet, Gruden only bought a house here to be close to his wifes relatives. Its not like ESPN is about to make even more job cuts and get rid of Gruden. We both know Gruden only likes talking football and doesnt have that competitive itch to coach again. Why cant everyone else see it like you and I? I'm being as sarcastic as possible.

I think we are all still confident, but the minute something is mentioned about (why do we need Gruden, hes never coached college, he can't recruit) my god the gloves come off lol.

Finebaum, his lady counterpart Laura, and reporter Barrett Sallee discussed coaches for Tennessee. Barrett Sallee mentioned Chad Morris and Dan Mullen. Sallee said very little about Morris, but felt Dan Mullen would be the next Tennessee coach. Finebaum and Laura discussed Chip Kelley and Jon Gruden as the next Tennessee coach. Both felt Chip would end up at either Tennessee or UCLA, and that Tennessee would be the only job Chip would take in the SEC. Oddly enough, both Finebaum and Laura agreed Jon is a real possibility. Finebaum said "an inner-circle" of boosters wants Jon and are willing to pay to get him. Both Finebaum and Laura felt recruits [especially quarterbacks] would line up to play for Jon and coaches as well would line up to coach with Jon. Also, both felt Jon would be the best recruit "closer" [or one of the best---Saban] in college football.

Again, I do not know anything about this show including the hosts and guest reporter.......I do not know if any are credible or not.

It was my beer glasses that made me write it. Gruden or bust for me. Would love to continue to support my alma mater, but if they can’t at least figure out what Alabama figured out a decade ago, I think all hope I lost.
