No spaces! No spaces!! :)

Vegas lines

1. They are offshore, not Vegas.
2. What about them?

Mike Shell says he is now in on Gruden because of the betting lines? Maybe. But I doubt it. He runs a strategic financial investment and consulting firm. I don't think just the betting lines caused him to reverse course.

He's sore. X-ray was negative....only a sprain. Good news is he can go whenever the soreness allows. Bad news is that could be 4-6 weeks for this type of sprain.

He doesn't have any class on Tuesday, so he's come home again to watch Monday Night Football with the old man, and spend the night at home.
good news

Subliminal message from Gruden at MNF:

"One thing about Aaron Rodgers, sitting there on the sidelines. You know he wants to get back in there. It's gotta be killing him."

We all know Gruden was speaking about himself sitting in the booth, soon to be coaching at UT.

Soon.

i thought the same exact thing

Never believed the Grumors in 2012. In hindsight, it appears that a conversation was had, and a deal was almost in place.

This time, I had info from a friend early on that Coach Jones was out after the UGA loss, and that an "NFL vet" was the top target, but that Gruden was a smokescreen. I trusted what I was told.

As the days and weeks have passed, I have come to the conclusion that the decision to move on from Coach Jones was, in fact, likely made after the UGA game. For whatever reason, he will almost certainly finish the season, but he's gone, and that's that.

And I have to believe that Gruden is not a smokescreen. Said it before, but he's not deaf to the rising chorus amongst the Vol faithful. He knows what's happening here. He's seen it, and he's heard it. If he was not interested in, or at least tentatively offered the job, he would have said something by now. He's a VFL. He would not let this fanbase go on for this long if it were false hope. This is what I believe.

It might or might not get done. He might or might not be the next head football coach at UT. Time will tell.

But it's not a fantasy, or the collective delusion of desperate Volunteer fans.

Beaver might or might not be a troll. The VN insiders might or might not know more than my dog. But the Gruden rumors are not just rumors. They're for real.

Go Vols.

Here's a good lil tidbit of info from Mr Swanson in the RF, that I'm guessing will get overlooked for something stupid like Mike Shell:

Duke also said this on VQ:
Not a gut feeling. To answer @Tmac1414, yes something happened to make me feel this way.
I'm under the impression it's a done deal
The people asking if I'm trolling, the ones who answered "no" are all friends of mine that texted me and got a few more specifics than I feel comfortable sharing on here, and then vouched that I'm indeed, not trolling.
We called. He was interested. We came back with an offer. He said thanks but no thanks. (There were "irreconcilable" (at the time) differences). We came back again with those desires of his met. He said he'd think about it. We finally came back after the latest loss, and he said he was in.
The person who told me clarified that they were speculating on the timeline, but said there's no reason to not wait until after Vandy at this point.

Boro did you just cringe when it happened? I know I would’ve. My son is my oldest and my only boy. He’s my heart.

Well, no....it was just a normal looking tackle until he tapped his helmet and ran off the field holding his shoulder.

My cringe happened when I saw his face after he realized he wasn't going back in. He's worked so hard for that opportunity, and only got to enjoy it for a half.

Yeah... I was right for once.... Go Coasty :dance2:

It's ok to sort of believe me..haha. I won't troll, and I won't ever state something that I don't think is somewhat correct. Trying to figure out how to say this next sentence where I don't sound like I'm fishing for ecred... I have friendships and relationships with people on almost all sides of the coin around UT Football. Some good sources of info, some not so good. I also don't believe everything I hear from them as some can just be chalked up to "locker room talk". I haven't posted 80% of the stuff that I've heard lately because I don't trust it. At the same time, I'm just someone on the internet, so take what I say how you want. I truly am in this forum for the entertainment. This is more fun than facebook right now, a lot due to you "OG's".

everyone gets all Bama fan like, & bent out of shape when the statement is made. telling fellow Vol fans to GTFO & the like.

But no ever explains why they think Gruden will be a good college coach.

Because it's been gone over and over. You tell us why he wouldn't be a good coach and don't say 54%, cushy job.

It's been explained a thousand times why he would be a good college coach.
