My only point is that if it is not legally binding, it's only a gentlemen's agreement. Assuming it exists at all and has been agreed on, either party could still walk away. UT couldn't force him to sign a contract to coach, and he can't make UT give him a job.
I doubt it would bind Gruden to take the job, or UT to give him the job, just becuase we already have a coach, and that would probably violate some state laws regarding hiring for gov't positions. But like I said, there's absolutely no way to know without seeing the document, as there aren't formal rules on what an MOU has to be.
