Well so much for celebrating tonight- it definitely looks like Butch will just finish the season. Hoping all the rumblings of Gruden are true or we are screwed.

If Butch is going to be here the rest of the year I really need him to stop being himself so that i can tolerate him these last 3 weeks.

Going against the grain. Everyone has been saying each game, "well that was his last one", and have been wrong. Now everyone is expecting him to stay a week longer. I think Currie - just to mess with everyone - this is his last one. Calling it now.


I'm probably wrong though.

Either Gruden is lined up or we've got the most dysfunctional AD in the country. The longer Butch stays, the more that rings true.

Back to Gruden. We get it. We're all over Butch.

From what I've heard, Gruden was initially offered 7.5 which he eventually turned down. Meeting took place late this week to approve a bigger offer, which has now been made of 8.5, plus upwards of 8 for a staff. Gruden has been in Knoxville a few times this week, but most notably yesterday, at which point those close to the situation believe he signed.

Has my guy seen the signature? No.
Do I have a timeline on the announcement? No.

I hadn't heard much this week, which is why I've been quiet. But this is what I was told tonight.
