I was sticking with the Kiffin as OC narrative. If Gruden had a 1-3 year plan at TN then jump to the NFL, or something else, bringing Kiffin in to take over would make sense.

You think Kiffin wants to stay where he is long term? Would he take an OC position at a P5 school, under Jon Gruden, that's making mega bucks, that plays Bama every year...etc, with the possibility of replacing him?

Hell I don't know, I was just saying if you buy everything else, this isn't hard to buy either.

I misunderstood. How long would Kiffin stay? Good question. Your scenario makes sense. Gruden for 3-4 years, get the machine running, and turn it over.

There was a rumor after Hart shot down the Gruden hire in 2012 that part of the control issue problem was Jon wanting an additional title from the AD department beyond just Head Coach. Curious if this could be in play again...

Dave Hart did not turn down Gruden for wanting an additional title beyond head coach. He was turned down by Hart because when Gruden presented the salaries he wanted for his assistants Hart refused. Regardless of the reason, Hart kept proving he had an agenda to have a negative impact on UT whenever he had the chance. That's what UT fans have had to suffer through and still suffering because the trustees, and one person that does not serve on the board, brought in a guy from Alabama to run our athletic department. Unreal.

Yep it sure did. Many of the pearls in his museum came from my dad...pretty much all the artifacts came from history about my dad.

This is a small world. I worked for Bob one summer when I was a young teen. I loved going there. Most people are gone now. I knew a lot of the guards for the farm back then.

I used to catch lots of crappie off the docks at BS Marina.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
