FE is worse than the PE. The FE is a lot to crunch into 8 hours, and a lot of material EEs and IEs don't see much of in our fields of study. The PE is intense, but you know what to expect, for the most part.

Took it at the Knoxville Convention Center and passed on the first shot. Damn, what a relief.

I thought the FE was much easier since I took it while I was in school and everything was still fresh. I was in no mood for the PE after being out of school for four years. Didn't help that I was sick during the test.

Glad you passed it. You ever plan to take the PE? If you have the opportunity, I kindly advise that you do. Even if you never use it or need it, it gives a ton of leverage. Even though I'm not telling you anything you don't know. I'm an academic, but not a dweeb. Certainly not an introvert!!

No. I'll never take the PE. I'm self employed, and have built up a body of work experience that opens whatever door I need opened.

I took both Dale Carnegie and David Sandler around the same time. Sandler is more for sales. Carnegie is "How to win friends and influence people"...Just listen to the person you're conversing with and you'll be fine...the whole, you have 2 ears and 1 mouth thing.

I always laugh thinking about looking around at one point and seeing multiple people counting on their fingers.

You want a John Madden answer? Kidding. Man I’d think that means he’s scouting out his new team honestly. He’d have to live on Mars not to know how badly we want him here, and even then I’d say he’d still know. If that’s not the case then that’s pretty sh**y thing to do. If he has no interest and jus coming to watch for enjoyment, he should have put it to bed long before now. That’s what leads me to believe he’s coming for bigger reasons!! Reasons we will all be ecstatic about SOON!! Timing is right!!

BTW...Butch has set him up nicely to get back used to coaching and looking like a genius even if he isn’t right off the bat!!

If you're an ME or CE, it is extremely easy. The only "curve balls" are the four DC circuit problems on the morning section. Us EEs had to do beams, columns, thermo, fluid dynamics, etc., and saw practically none of it.

Yup! Forgot about that one. I like it. Just haven't played it this year.
