Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water, and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Feeling sad - and it's not about the Gruden situation. Just got back from the vet where I learned that my cat has leukemia. They gave her a steroid shot and she's feeling much better but at best she only has a couple of months of quality life left.

I know. Cat.

She's been a part of our family for 17 years. I love her and will miss her.

So I feel sad.

Thanks for giving me a moment.

truly sorry to hear that Smokin...we love our pets as well.

I have been a huge doubter of the BEAVER this week, but I do find his absence over the last 20-24 hours strange. He has not said one even remotely vague thing on VN and has been completely silent. Makes me wonder if something actually has finally happened or if I am only succumbing to confirmation bias because I want to believe something has happened.
word is he's at Omni in Ashville and can assure you he has not got us #ricks on his radar !

Drunk. Trying not to manipulate someone who is ripe for it. Lot of self loathing.

How are you?

Doing good. Just got off work, about to get drunk as well and watch this s*** show. Drinking one of only good things to ever come out of Athens, Ga, Creature Comforts beer.

Poster from VQ..

This makes since of Beav and ATL Vol going quite. TIFWIW

"Disclaimer: I will first say that the only inside information I ever had was that Hurd was coming here because the leader of my small groups son played on the OL at Beech with Hurd.

Back to the call, I just got a phone call from my mothers husband who isn't really a UT fan but is somewhat of a big timer in the Middle Tennessee area. Any way he called me and said well are you excited about whats going to happen this weekend? Of course I had no clue what he was talking about and he said "Gruden coming to Tennessee". I paused because of the rumors going through here today and thought he was prank calling me or something. He said he was on a business call with a guy who is prominent with the University and said"well last night I think we got Gruden". Said his wife has been in Knoxville all week and that he is on his way down right now. He also said that this weekend is Butch's last game and that a interim would take over. Take it for what its worth because I am, but it was strange to say the least him calling me and telling me that.....I'll go put my tin foil hat back on now"

New Orleans stomps Memphis. Nashville I give props due to the variety factor...if we talking just BBQ Memphis all day long.

BBQ and southern cuisine. Granted, if someone wants a good steak or anything fancy, there's not many places in Memphis that I would recommend. Memphis' restaurants are more blue collar.
