Just so you know....whoever it was that said Butch was out after KY win or lose, was initially correct. I don't remember who it was but he took a lot of heat when it didn't happen. Something behind the scenes changed it...I assume the Davis issue, then you added in the Kendrick situation. I'm told the blowup in Anderson between Butch and Currie was in regards to this.

This is also what happens when the decisions needed to be made for UT are done so by a criminal with a deep pocket. There is no orange blood in the system anywhere. UT only hires outsiders that are there for a paycheck, not to make UT better. Ever since Joe Johnson left there has been a revolving door of presidents, chancellors, coaches, etc. Why? Half the board of trustees didn't attend UT. Why are they on the board? Again, no orange blood in the system + no loyalty to alumni or fans unless they have money + a criminal making decisions = exactly where UT is today which is nowhere. Unless someone decides that loyalty and orange blood is more important than money, nothing at UT will change.

The more money bet on Gruden lowers the line. It's how they hedge against losses...look at the casinos and you should know they don't lose money in Vegas.

Obviously but one also has to wonder who are the people making these bets. Is it not possible they're people very close to the situation? Chicken or the egg.

I'm with you. They have to get it right this time, or a lot of people will find other things to do on a Saturday in the fall. We're already hallway into a generation that doesn't remember us winning anything. People have to be given a reason to follow.

I think a combination, or new info. Whatever it was changed the situation over stepping down after KY, which may have been the bigger issue in the blowup.

Exactly right. People who dont respect TN as the powerhouse it was and dont know why its place in the SEC is so important. There is no SEC without UT and *gasp* UA....
