Not personal. Apparently Butch made Antone the subject of "constant intimidation, bullying and mental abuse".

So my cousin who is a student at UT, was was talking to a friend who I guess works at the AD. Called me yesterday to tell me about the meeting and couldn't remeber the guys name just that it was something weird. I had someone this morning tell me that Zook was seen in Knoxville the last day or so. I called my cousin and asked if the guy's name in the meeting was Zook. My cousin is starting to believe some of this Gruden talk now

If Antone made his concerns known and Currie did not act... That could be grounds to fire him as well.

As much as I hate this and hope the NEW coach reaches out and tries to bring Antone back, this is not grounds for dismissal. "My boss is mean" is not grounds for a with-cause termination for Butch. This whole situation stinks, and it seems like Butch is trying to burn down as much as he can on his way out the door...doing just enough to keep whatever buyout he is getting.

Creating a hostile workplace is indeed cause for firing.

You absolutely cannot intimidate an employee or create a hostile work environment that includes belittling someone in front of their peers. This is grounds for immediate termination in most companies. If Currie knew, and did nothing, then he should be removed as well.
