Renovations starting in summer of 2018. I believe this decision was made because they are expecting big things in the near future.

No one knows anything. That's the bottom line. I do think its odd that the Beaver and ATL VOL have not been around. Other coaches have been contacted, well I'm sure they have, big name coaches, no doubt. All that means nothing, what big time school would not contact "big name" coaches if they have a vacancy. Until multiple people from all different sites/media start posting similar things everything should be taken as simply hearsay. Means nothing really.

Gruden to the Hill

There it is. We all needed our daily affirmation.

I think the Haslams got cold feet in 2012 about the loss of influence in the AD after negotiations with Coach Gruden. They made a last minute decision to bail (See Browns/McCarron as example)

Fast forward to 2017 and the Haslams already know what they’re going to have to give up in power pre-negotiation. They knew the writing was on the wall with Butch. They installed Currie behind everyone’s back to shore up their position against hiring Coach Gruden and his demands for control (see boosters vs. Bryant Jr. at Alabama). But Ergen’s side was ready this time. Currie’s approach to another coach may actually be an attempt to call Ergen’s bluff (see how serious he really is). Ergen, et al, is ready for just such a move and has a little help from a furry friend to gain support from the fan base. A little help from a venture capital firm to gain support from the Chancellor (see her decision to keep facilities management in-house). And, possibly, Peyton Manning with his rumored outside support for something???? Now, Mr. Haslam and Jr., are you on-board or not? (See once again Alabama vs. Bryant, Jr.).....

There was a BOT meeting and they had a dinner last night iirc, the BIG meeting everyone is alluding to may or may not have happened yet.... it is assumed by many because of an obscure post on TOS....

When Atlanta Vol posted he simply said he was NOT at liberty to say when it would take place...

So I don't ASSUME anything at this time... I am waiting and watching

Ainge just said on his show he is hearing several of our larger booster ("Name on the building type" and those are his words) are telling Currie before we donate we need to see that you (Currie) are committed to winning with the next hire.

This is pretty out of character for Ainge.

He also did say Grudemonium is like a pink cloud haha......But I thought his comments on boosters were pretty interesting. Especially with what we believe happened yesterday.

Ainge must have been reading this thread yesterday.

Probably best to defer to the experts that think we're all idiots for wanting Gruden. They get the benefit of the doubt for being the smartest guys in the room.
