Some people just aren't satisfied until they have pissed in someone elses Wheaties.. They strike me as being so miserable that other peoples happiness causes them pain..

I thought Brent Hubbs was going to ask Butch at his presser about Kendrick's possible concussion... did he or anyone ask and if so, what was Butch's response?

Let's make two assumptions.

1. Last night they finalized the Gruden hire.
2. They have a very strong desire to keep the decision secret.

What would you expect to hear from the insiders?

IMO, he gone (and I believe this will be his last game regardless:

1) cannot discount the Freudian slip “final game in his press conference

2) you cannot lose to Southern Miss, during
Homecoming, to go 3-6, with LSU still on the schedule, and expect to still be the coach

Then again, losing to South Carolina and Kentucky should have been the final act

As just someone who mostly watches, I’d say 100%. I wouldn’t mind being wrong, but I think there’s too much evidence pointing to him finishing the season regardless of W/L. Now if he screws up again, ie the BK situation.....

Interesting perspective...

We are fairly certain that Gruden is in, the academic side is in, and at least 85% of the boosters are in.

If Haslam is the holdup, and it appears he is, Currie is boxed in from all sides.
Perhaps he would try and communicate to get the masses involved.

My opinion only but I think CPF has more to do with Butch still being here than anyone. I also think with the concussion issue that Currie's hand is being forced. He may not be able to keep Butch till the end of the season just to cover the University.

Thank you for such kind words... none of which I deserve... Yeah let's just say I am old enough to remember watching Walter Chadwick play .. lol and boy did I love to see Dewey Warren stand in the pocket... we never saw that at UT before him iirc.. anyway your question

I think that the AD wants to keep Butch until the end of the season.... this became evident to me after the Kentucky loss... (he should have been let go no later than that game imo). ....When he actually lets him go depends on how nasty this Kendrick deal gets... I do believe it has some legs, so only time will tell. That is a very fluid situation ... could be a lot quicker than AD wanted..we will see

As far as who do I want.... well I think we have dropped so low on the totem pole that only a BIG name coach can help us to recover what this great University should be and once was. So my choices are based on this thought and may not reflect the same as the AD's

1. Gruden
2. Kelly
3. Stoops


PS//// By the way, this thing with Gruden reminds me of the latter years of Bill Battle, there was a lot of rumbling for year from boosters that wanted Coach Majors.... it took several years but the Administration finally gave in.... Maybe history will repeat itself

Absolutely nothing...they want this to blow the doors off everything else. Can they keep it quiet through Homecoming?
