I think I'm going to try to start another Dave Beaty thread.
I'm almost positive that it would be taken seriously this time.

What you say may be true. If so, it's the best kept secret on this planet. Which Lane as OC? Lane Kiffin...
Whether you like the guy or not, and most don't, he is a hell of an offensive coordinator. Are do you mean another Lane?

This is what I got yesterday afternoon.

We'll just go with initials.

I called my man GW and he's denoted so much money to the school that he's son AW was a trainer when Brandon Stuart and Peyton came in.

So, All three were Freshmen at that time. I met Brandon before he transferred because he would spend the night at GW's house with AW.

After Brandon transferred Peyton and AW became best friends / Had an apartment together from their sophomore year until they both graduated / and were in both AW's and Peyton's weddings and I also know Bubba Miller from those days too because GW has always lived in Brentwood and BM went to BWA in high school just like AW did.

So from GW there is a war going on from the inside and AW told Peyton to tell him nothing so he did not get in the middle and GW told me that AW's phone as already rang off the hook.

So as high that GW and AW are. It has been super tight lipped and Doug Mathews is in the dark too.

All of them hope that the outcome will be good and there is an all out war going on and their not sure who the alliances are at this time either.

From what I get it's going done and has for some time.

That's the best insiders that I got and you can take it or leave it.

Must remember that when Cheeks came in. He stripped out the student tutoring programs and was dead set on turning UT into Harvad.

They did reinstall those programs when Butch got hired, thus the higher graduation rates.

If this blow's down the wrong way, then no good power 5 coach is going to come in.

This has not been about the fans / facilities etc...
It about power 5 coaches seeing a AA mess and Bama had to clean things up too, before Saban finally committed three months later when he saw the same thing's going on at Bama.

I hope that the SEC is putting the pressure on too.
In the long haul UT is going to hurt the TV contracts for the SEC as well, unless things turn back around.

I would love to see The Gru, or any other HC, try to bring in Pep Hamilton, he would be a great recruiter and had obviously proven himself time and time again with QBs and offense. Don’t know why he’s never been offered or taken a HC job. Maybe Peyton could lean on him...

She just said Lane, the way she talked it was Kiffin.
