What happened with Kendrick? Concussion rumors (merged)

I have no inside info and therefore have no idea if the accusation is true. But it is part of a pattern with Butch.

1. The player who got ran off the team after the AJ Johnson rape allegation. (Drae Bowles)

2. The accusation about Butch punching a player.

3. Jalen Hurd's "lower body" injury.

4. Hurd maybe having a concussion during the Georgia game.

5. The circumstances that caused Jalen to leave the team.

6. Allegations of a concussion to Richmond.

7. Shy Tuttle "falling on his helmet"

8. And now the Kendrick concussion allegation.

I have no idea if any of those allegations are fully or partially true. They may all be damn lies for all I know. But it's a definite pattern and something is causing it.

Didn't the NCAA firmly shift concussion protocol monitoring and compliance into the hands of the sidelines medical staff this past off-season, with rules taking effect this year? So if the doc says, 'kid sits,' the kid sits and the coaches can not over-rule?

Wasn't that a rule change they made this year?

Yeah but sometimes a players can take the hit early and show no obvious symptoms. Sometimes, they can play the rest of a game before anyone notices he starts acting concussed. I am sure protocols are better now than a couple of years ago, but the medical staff can miss one still. Especially when you have over 100 players on the sidelines.

Someone catch me up on the Richmond thing

SIAP, but according to thereadoptional.com, Butch knowingly played Kendrick with a concussion for the second half of the KY game. If this is true, time to let him go with cause now
Seems like a staff member on the sidelines or in the booth would've noticed there was a problem and would've said something over the headsets.

Only damning if they knew

It’s coaching malpractice if they didn’t know. He was concussed in the second quarter. Went into halftime, would presumably be in the presence of a small group of his fellow OLs and his OL coach (Wells) as they discussed the first half and any adjustments needed for the second half. How could nobody not notice? The kid was loopy, at one point holding his head between plays.

On second thought.....Jones doesnt believe in making in-game adjustments, is on record saying so, said only execution of the original game plan matters. So maybe Wells didn’t even look at/see/talk to his senior right tackle on Saturday.

You can't tell if someone is concussed from such small snippets from that far away. Hell, from that angle, I thought the entire offensive line was acting punchy.

You gotta see his face, his eyes, ask questions to see how he responds. This is why birds don't diagnose concussions.

He was concussed at some point during the second quarter. Wouldn’t they see his face, his eyes and ask him questions at halftime as his position group met with their position coach?

Where’s it being reported it happened during the second quarter? Hadn’t seen that.

The sad thing is that's not even the full clip, and it's not the only one that shows just how disoriented he was during the game.

I cant imagine the crowd at Kentucky is ever loud enough to cover your ears but I've never had a concussion so dont know if its a telling sign or not.
