As a former coach's wife, I'm not. Someone always has an issue with the coach, and they are very easy to hang. I just wish he could move on and we could too without him being trashed.

I understand that to a degree. But if there is any truth to the things we have heard about Butch regarding players in Cincinnati and players here, then it isn't 'trashing' to me.

If there is truth to any of it, then it is just reaction to behavior that should never be exhibited by a coach of any team.

I agree, IF there is truth.

Gruden is NOT coming. He loathes recruiting and the limits on practice.
He is very fond of UT anls seen by his presence around the program and his son attending. The guy even tried to give Butch some cred.

This is not speculation, but straight from his mouth.

It's too early for this.

Can you give us the highlights?

I'm in Cincinnati, but, my sister called (non-beliver) and said article on front page about Neyland renovations around $340 million. Just interesting it's published toady when it could have been written any time over the last few weeks, Currie's comment in interview this week about more things he needs to be doing concerning stadium upgrades, voting today on it by BOT.

Just found the timing of the article as interesting.

It is interesting that AtlantaVol has yet to post during this very tumultuous week. Anyone with info seems to have gone dark except Beaver who is acknowledging there is a war going on right now. DTO you still out there?

It is interesting if it is true that major boosters are going to pull their money unless this hire goes their way. Haslam has always carried a big stick, but he can't do it alone.

The article noted that Currie was presenting the revised plans to the BoT today at 3pm.

The Comb is one of my favorite posters on VN. Insiders are around, it has been a very interesting past 2 days. The Kendrick’s issue is a big deal (both in the health of that kid and on the implications it has on Butch).

For the game theory nerds, whoever can correctly summarize the implications this has on Currie and the boosters will win a a couple free scotch drinks on me at a home game next year.

When I read your drivel and I then see so many posters bowing down to it, I get the same feeling I had the morning I woke up and learned that Trump was elected.

Who is paying Butch's buyout since Currie seems hell bent on saving a few bucks to hang onto Butch this season? If boosters are paying it, why does Currie care? The image of UT has taken a massive hit since the GA loss and now an even worse turn with Kendrick. Not worth all of this to save a couple million dollars.

The boosters have offered to pay the buyout...
Currie doesn't want Gruden, doesn't want to relinquish power, exactly like Hart.
This is all playing out exactly like it did in 2012.
Except this time the boosters have had time to cover all of their bases.
The boosters have everything covered, including the academic side.

The 20 million dollar question in my mind is this...
WHO is backing Currie? WHO hired Currie?

Many boosters wanted another candidate for AD, one of which most of them played for.

What I'm waiting for is concerning the conversation I had with VFLnSFD (I believe was same person)from yesterday morning concerning the separation of the AD and AA as it once was. If we see any type of resemblance of the AD going back to less control from the academic side or Chancellor then I will take that as the sign we all want and need to see if Gruden is a real possibility.

The title of the article says it all- we are willing to pay massively for our stadium but admin thinks the team can be lead by a robot and get great results- wrong!
