Im beginning to think this woman is a large lynch pin for us right now. I feel like she is an SJW hack job who has pissed and moaned her way to the top and probably shouldnt be allowed to be the manager of a dollar general store. And no, Im not exaggerating or joking.
I think she hates athletics. She probably hates masculinity or competition, like most of her ilk and she clearly doesnt understand the revenue Tennessee football generates for this school as a whole, or the money it brings in from donors and boosters.
Simple logic. Make the opposition commit to doing something you wanted them to do in the first place. Like throwing up C-wire and tanglefoot on the easiest path of approach and force the opposition either into your kill zone or off the main line of drift which wears them out and makes them vulnerable to counterattack.
In this case, making the opposition do what you wanted could mean removing Jones. Which opens the door to...
The booster's choice of coaches. Namely Gruden if the Grumors are correct. Currie is forced to either accept his own demise by allowing Jones to continue with the possibility of the Kendrick situation biting him in the backside or by accepting he will lose ground, but not be defeated in the end.
I could have been an officer, but they found out my parents were married and I worked for a living.
I will have to honestly say that I have ways considered myself a fairly intelligent individual. But as I read the complex conspiracy theories that you boys and girls banter about it basically just goes sailing over my head. Kudos to those of you who have the forensic capacities to connect random drops of information into relative coherent trains of thought. My hats of to each of you.
Several of you posters had some great answers. I will have to buy a fine bottle of scotch and do a tasting with 4-5 of you at one of the home games next year. I will post the exact answer that I had for the game theory payoff once Butch has been formally fired. I do not want to give the competitors insight into how they should be thinking about it. If you answered then DM me on Twitter and we can pick a game as a group.
After further review..Butch should resign. He has done collateral damage to the University's reputation and the financial impact would require a PHD to figure out, if he's found to be liable. I'll tick with rearrange the staff, Gruden announced as HC for 2018. Butch takes the fall with grace, UT saves it's rep, narrative immediately shifts to Gruden hire and the forming of staff. Fans immediately understand it's a lost season, players have a huge weight off their shoulders and something to rally around if the right interim is put in place and the staff properly fired and promoted properly, recruiting is a juggernaut with the announcement of Gruden before signing day....
To all the "insiders" that showed up. Good luck on your theories. I'm off to bed.
I am starting to believe there is some truth to Bev being a problem here and she needs to be put in her damn place and told to move aside. What does she know about football? How does Joe Dipetrio feel about all of this I wonder or does he even care? What other major university is such a cluster from top to bottom as ours?😡😡😡
I dont want any updates. No news is good news. I hate Butch Jones the football coach as much as everyone else, but with his job on the line I cant believe hed be so stupid to allow a kid to play with a concussion. How do you miss that??? The protocol in place makes it virtually impossible to miss. The family could not only sue the school but the SEC as well. They have someone there as well.
The Comb is one of my favorite posters on VN. Insiders are around, it has been a very interesting past 2 days. The Kendricks issue is a big deal (both in the health of that kid and on the implications it has on Butch).
For the game theory nerds, whoever can correctly summarize the implications this has on Currie and the boosters will win a a couple free scotch drinks on me at a home game next year.
