Well first off, we ran pro sets when I was on the hill. And for arguments sake, had damn good success at it. And most pro teams DO NOT run spread schemes. Well maybe when Chip was in the league, but Defenses figured him out. Now, do they run 5-8 plays that incorporate spread philosophies, yeah but it's more single, I formations, with Strong and weak sets, and Gun looks.

And evolving into something else, doesn't always translate into success. Just ask Kelly. It works for a little bit and then NFL Defenses catch up. Pro sets will always be used more than anything, especially the gimmick offenses that you see in HS and College.

There’s no such thing as a “pro style offense” anymore. Nfl teams are using just as many spread concepts as colleges... the difference is most NFL teams have QBs that can expand the route tree and expand it from basic throws, reads. 99% of colleges don’t.

David Shaw, Gundry, Herman, dantonio, Mark Richt, Pat Fitzgerald are names I would 100% say are better coaches than bobby Petrino.

AV posted about keeping recruits on board a while back. Maybe not that direct but you get the idea.

I agree to some extent, but teams use far more "Pro sets" than a spread philosophy and I think about 70% of your power run teams would agree also.

I am now on the John Harbaugh train. Screw Gruden the teaser.

Did you know JH wanted the Cincinnati HC job in 2006 but couldn't get it? Brian Kelly landed it and then our buddy Butch.

I support him proving something to the doubters and his brother at our gain.
