I get the feeling the candidate list is very short that would please the masses.

Would VN warm up to the Idea of BobbyP?

I am starting to think he might be the best option. He's an elite coach that needs a change of scenery.

Nah, gotta shave a few bucks of that buyout. And what of the student-athletes? Did you even consider them? They can't go to class if Butch isn't coach.

Think the shine is off of him. Hasn’t had a great seasons in about 5 years and has lots of baggage.

Would be a tough sell

I just think will all the openings we are likely going to get past Mullen/Frost. Those two seem to be the only ones that most would approve of.

Those are his win totals over the last 4 years. (Last 3 with arguably the best player in college football) Only went 8-4 in his year at WKU as well.

I don’t consider him elite at all. Louisville is historically a pretty easy place to win and recruit too (low academic standards). Plus all his baggage. No thanks. Good coach, not for us.

This isn't the Louisville of a decade ago now being in the ACC. Little different ballgame

Bobby Petrino is just awful. But I'd still take him over Bobo or Morris, and might take him over Brohm or Norvell.

That makes me think of another hypothetical. Imagine we strike out on all the top targets: Gruden, Kelly, Frost...would you offer Mullen $7 million knowing that you drop down afterward to Morris/Brohm/Satterfield/Norvell/Bobo?
