Everyone knew Jalen had a concussion. Butch Jones isn’t the first to lie about an injury. I’m not sure what the implication is here. He lied about what the injury was? Who cares? He sat the kid and didn’t play in the game.

But he did play him on the last kickoff of the UGA game when he didn’t play most or all of the 2nd half because of a supposed concussion. The implication is now this is 2 events where a player played with a concussion. Now did Butch know about BK? That’s debatable and I won’t say either way. But its probably fair to say he did know about Jalen considering he was sitting out the 2nd half. Also, for more odd coincidences, Jalen was held out of the A&M game for a lower body injury, instead of the supposed truth which was a concussion. Guess what BK injury report says? Undisclosed injury.

I'm still baffled that this recruiting class hasn't completely fell off the rails. I mean we've really lost one recruit we didn't want to lose. I realize some are visiting but no one has really decommitted with the exception of Dixon. This amazes me.

Do you think that says more about the program or about Butch?

Yeah you are right. But at this point I'm not sure if there's much difference in being negative and being realistic. I'm just fed up with the status quo and lack of leadership. It's unreal

The difference is bias and outlook. You only see the negative and assume it won't or can't change. I'm aware of the negative, but I look for the positive and ways to change the negative. Yes, I know that there is nothing that I can do to change UT...I'm talking about your overall outlook on life and how that taints your view of everything. Your view of the situation at UT is simply an extension of your view of everything.

Your avatar suits you. In fact, I now imagine that is how you look.

I personally think the recruits are being told that something good is coming. Not implying Gruden but I think they've been assured it will be special. So in a way I think it says something about how recruits view Tennessee and are looking for a reason to stay committed.

Nah. It hasn't changed in 10 years.

They've been told something we haven't?

My goodness this is getting uglier by the day.

Mr. Currie has to know there are folks willing to do anything to get rid of Butch. He has to make a move .

Been saying it all week. The fact we have 20 commits right now is amazing.

Currie was pretty quiet and fast about the baseball hire. I have a hard time believing nothing is going on with football. I think he was trying to let Butch bow out gracefully but circumstances are making it difficult.

Because even with the concussion he put Jalen in the end of the Georgia game after he got it.

Jalen played after he had been pulled. One play at the end and not for a stretch. Again, CBJ wouldn’t be held directly responsible though. He doesn’t handle subs and it was for one play. So what you are describing would be CBJ protecting his coach for subbing back in Jalen (hopefully by mistake because it was a special formation/group for a particular situation) or someone on staff for failing to take away Hurd’s helmet and Hurd inserting himself.

If the head coach knowingly let a player play even just 1 play after being diagnosed with a concussion then he is at fault for the transgression. It's his team so he is responsible for it. It's called failure to monitor.
