Let me make it elementary for you grown man.

There is no evidence of Butch treating his players with tremendous respect and there is no evidence that Butch shares loving relationships with his players.

There is evidence of Butch micromanaging his players and getting angry when they do not perform how he wants. Butch particularly gets upset when his authority is challenged, also known as "little man's syndrome".

Therefore it would be much more reasonable to assume that reported leaks of altercations were true based on this evidence. Instead you are assuming based on no evidence of Butch treating his players with the upmost respect. Which would be ridiculous :rock::rock::rock:

How has anyone put up with this guy for 12,000 posts?

Multiple sources both from the media and those with common sense say this regardless of our record:

"the team is still playing hard."

Now discounting every other rumor and assertion that has floated around here in the last month or two let me ask you this. Would you play hard for the guy you describe?

I think you know the answer. Now kindly put me on ignore because I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. I was here way before you got denied a prom date and I will be here long after.

You’re not understanding what I’m saying though. I don’t buy for one second that butch couldn’t tell that BK had a concussion. The players could tell (per travis’s article). Why couldn’t the coach see it?

I said you couldn’t argue because you weren’t arguing about the point I was trying to make. I suppose I could have worded what I was saying better but I thought I made it clear.

No, I clearly understood what you were saying. Round and round we go.

There are medical professionals, trainers, assistants, and league personnel whose JOBS are to diagnose any health issue with a player. They need to do their jobs. The head coach has to manage the game, call plays, talk to other people in the booth, whatever. Butch might no do that stuff well, but his job is not to diagnose a player's health unless he just happens to stumble on it. He rarely speaks directly to players in a game.

It is somewhat akin to having one of my client's examined by a doctor. I don't know if my client is incompetent, schizophrenic, or intellectually disabled. It's the job of the professional to diagnose that. On top of that, it would be like 75 of my clients running around on a field for me to even provide input. Simply put, it's not directly on him unless there is proof that Butch was told of the concussion and advised the assistant or doctor to play him anyway.

If only there was a coach that had played in a national championship game, had a 46-7 record at a P5 school, and no buyout, available right now.

I know a coach with a 152-52 record, won a NC game with no buyout, and one of his best an ever available for oc too bad he isnt available either

I would play hard for my teammates, my own pride, and obviously my chance at the NFL, however slight it may be. You've gotten personal, which shows you know you've lost.

Round and round we go because I am going off reports and you’re waiting for the full story. That’s fair. I just think it’s pretty obvious that butch was negligent and let a guy play when he shouldn’t have. Clay travis’s article claims that BK never got medical attention. We shall see how it plays out. I just think that’s this is what will cost butch his buyout. We shall see how it unfolds

Personal? I know nothing about you. Even though I work out with some guys who say you didn't go to prom (second hand I know) I have no idea if you did or not. It was strictly for comedy effect.

Full story= proof. You will never get it.

Well, the people saying yesterday that it's going to be a very active next 24-48 hours yesterday were spot on. It may have not been in the way we thought. Never a dull moment in the UT Athletic Department.

I don't remember Newt being quite the Butch apologist.

I think he is fired at the end of the year and think he definitely should be. He did some good things and I wish he could have been a lot better at others.

I also think rumors and jumping on a bandwagon of hate is for the feeble-minded.

That is the extent of my being an apologist.

I'm pretty sure the burden of proof in court doesn't apply to firing a coach. It might if it got back to court in a lawsuit, but if UF was able to fire Mac for cause (or use it to force a reduced buyout) over his "death threat", this matter seems even more substantive.

Didn't you hear? Oregon isn't the big stage you can't win a (puke) natty (puke) there.

Has anyone given Newt the concussion protocol?

What? He's been in here posting the entire second half (of the workday)?!?!

He doesn't seem like himself?!?!?!?!

Oh, someone's getting fired over this. Probably Freak, since he's in charge of everything here.

Fair enough.

When I say “full story” I mean whatever the university’s investigation produces. I am PREDICTING based on what has become public knowledge that this is it for him. I think we’ve pretty much got the full story and in my opinion this should be it for butch.

I didn't tell Freak, he is not complicit in this. Invol is supposed to be watching from the press box. Its on him.

Remember, the Board of Trustees were already scheduled to meet tomorrow and Butch's future was very likely on the agenda. Some have surmised they would've given the go ahead to Currie to terminate Butch's contract at his discretion.

With the new concussion report, I would find it very likely they go a step farther and vote to terminate immediately.
