Maybe Currie is responsible as Well. Fire anyone that was in charge of wells.

That happened at Michigan. In fact students were protesting the AD on campus. They were having a bad season and eveyone wanted Hoke gone but the concussion game was a spark that lit a fuse. Both the AD & Hoke handled the situation poorly. The AD I think ended up resigning and of course Brady was eventually fired.

I was working on some projects in Mich at the time and was at the game with some colleagues and business contacts. I lived about 3 miles away from the stadium for 15 months.

When I think the discussions in this place can't get any worse, they do. Bickering and arguing over this when none of us know all the facts yet.

I hope this is all over soon.

If standing up for players safety and well being is “embarrassing myself” then I will gladly continue to do it.

You continue to not be able to add 1+1. The issue has nothing to do with what you just posted. Not one poster has any empathy for a coach that willingly plays a player with a concussion. The argument has nothing to do with that.

Wow. I'd like to hear why.

Last week, I was talking to a colleague who said they bumped into a former player who works inside the program and communicates with a ton of VFLs. Colleague didn't name names but kinda sounds like Antone.

Anyway, colleague said that the former player usually travels with the team to away games. However, the former player pretty much told Butch that the way he's been doing things is wrong, and this caused a big spat between the former player and Butch. Butch has now been forcing him to travel separate from the team.

Man I hope we fire him after this weekend. Win or lose. Fans are all on edge and this rumor nonsense is not going to stop.

It's time to remove him from the equation.

WTH???..This Fulmer don't fire in midseason philosophy (if it is) Has got to go..If our AD can't figure out fire with cause from this crap..He needs to go

Illinois coach fired for similar..

"His teams were 4-20 in Big Ten play since he arrived from Toledo after the 2011 season. He also had been dealing with allegations of player mistreatment. An ongoing independent investigation found he tried to influence medical decisions and pressure players to play with injuries."

Access Denied

"employed tactics that violated standards related to sports medicine protocols and scholarships" by interfering with injured players through "demeaning criticism in public settings" as well as "belittling" those players."

AD fired over it as well

Illinois Fighting Illini fire athletic director Mike Thomas after athlete allegations

Says the guy that’s trying to ignore all evidence that this staff allowed a kid with a concussion to play football for an additional half

Wrong. Circumstantial evidence that he had a concussion. No evidence that the head coach knew about it. Ridiculous that I have to spell this out. Glad you aren't on one of my juries.

Man some of you guys love discussing sports but don't get sports or have never played. There are some things that get shoved under the rug because of the herd mentality. It doesn't have to be reported nationally to be true. Talk to players or people close to them for 30 minutes and you can find out a lot about Butch and his outbursts

In a lunchroom full of people(most likely) in this day and age? Ok.

He just wants CBJ fired, like we all do, but has chosen this as his irrational hill to stake his flag.

Not remembering anything after the 2nd half isn't normal, smart guy.

The question is whether Kendrick made someone aware of this situation as it was unfolding or, based upon his behavior, should a member of the coaching staff that interacts with him when he is on the sidelines, should have known something was up. Him getting blown up on the field or missing an assignment, by itself, is not evidence of a concussion.

This.

But I will say if there is legitimate proof that the coaching staff actually knew he was concussed, not that he should have known, then I agree that Butch needs to go. I simply don't see, at this point, proof of him knowing about nor broken procedure BY Butch
