Well duh. I’m assuming people behind the scenes know what happened. However, the evidence seems to quickly be mounting against butch. Kendrick throwing up and not being able to remember the second half (as reported by Hyams) means that he almost certainly had a concussion

Right, assumptions. You're making lots of those.

BS reports? Jimmy Hyams is about as trusted as anyone in Knoxville.

Also you’re saying that a man of integrity would put a kid’s life in danger for a football game? Because that’s what you’re dealing with when it comes to brain injuries. Kendrick was seriously hurt. Concussions take weeks to truly recover from. Butch was willing to throw him right back into the fire. That’s disgraceful and I don’t want someone like that leading ANY football program.

You have no idea what CBJ knew or did not know during game. Yet you accuse him of forcing BK to play. Wow

I’m assuming people behind the scenes know more. What is public info is enough for me to lose most of my respect for butch as a person. His act of negligence caused serious risk to BK’s well being

I am at a loss for why you’re trying to defend someone that played a guy with a concussion

Then why do you have medical professionals and people on the sidelines that observe for the league? It's totally asinine to jump to that conclusion. The head coach has a game to manage.

Anyone else think this is incredibly stupid?

Yeah. I mean they could run wildcat for a play, but likely haven’t practiced that. Same as JG under center on the goal line. Or they could take a time out but Butch will save those until the other team needs one.

Assume with me the worst: 63 had a concussion, CBJ knew it 100%, and ignored it/hid it from trainers/played him anyway.

Does this really fit the CJB narrative of the last 5 years?

He is known as a players coach. He loves the players and wants what is best for them even if he seems to be in over his head during gamedays and press conferences. I know many want to demonize Butch to expedite a coaching change. But that is just not who he is.

You just contradicted your entire point before the end of your first sentence. Boosters and Admin not being on the same page are only rumors. Same "insiders" that have been discredited as you say.

I had that same thought, but now I'm starting to think the insiders aren't so much trolling (some of them probably are) as they are getting wildly inconsistent information which could itself be an indicator of dysfunction. That and the AD's well-earned reputation ever since Dickey left.

For most people if they hate someone they rarely let facts enter it when there is another opportunity to hate.

Agreed - no way he plays him. Yet someone is responsible. Ordinarily I would say HC is responsible for everything, but during a game there is no way a HC can know the health status of every player. SEC officials, referees, UT medical staff are all responsible for player safety in game. Many layers before Butch.
