I own a company, if one of my employess screws up, it comes back to me. I am culpable for my employees. Butch is culpable for the people on his sideline.
Also, there's been zero confirmation that anyone cleared anybody.
You are 100% false.
They are on the sidelines to monitor situations like this. Come on voly.
**** happens and it doesn't always have to be the head coaches fault or anyone's for that matter. Medical officials are in a tough soot and they miss things
You are assuming that that he was evaluated, I don't believe he was. If he had been evaluated, he wouldn't have been cleared IMO. If you look at my OP, I said he was culpable to some extent, maybe it's very minor, but he has some culpability here.
ALso, I am no Butch hater. I've repeatedly said we owe the man a huge debt of gratitude. I've also been an advocate for them releasing him sooner rather than later for that very reason. The longer he's on the sidelines the more people forget what he's done.
In addition, I don't think this is an attempt to fire him with cause. I think the buyout has been determined and he'll get what he agreed to. I think this incident may be enough to go ahead and remove him from this toxic situation.
I have never seen a coach take a fall for a concussed player staying in a game and it won't start now. If they are looking to fire with cause and avoid the backlash in the coaching community no way is this the tipping point.
