Wut?

I'd take Gilbert Gottfried if I thought he could win us an SEC title.

Everyone is constantly talking about how he has the “it” factor and how intense he is. Never hear about Actual xs & os. Just about him playing scout team and being jacked.

I own a company, if one of my employess screws up, it comes back to me. I am culpable for my employees. Butch is culpable for the people on his sideline.

Also, there's been zero confirmation that anyone cleared anybody.

You are 100% false.

Not in this case. The training and medical staff do not work for Butch. They are intentionally employed by 3rd parties or the university so the coach can't overrule them.

They are on the sidelines to monitor situations like this. Come on voly.

**** happens and it doesn't always have to be the head coaches fault or anyone's for that matter. Medical officials are in a tough soot and they miss things

You are assuming that he was evaluated, I don't believe he was. If he had been evaluated, he wouldn't have been cleared IMO. If you look at my OP, I said he was culpable to some extent, maybe it's very minor, but he has some culpability here.

ALso, I am no Butch hater. I've repeatedly said we owe the man a huge debt of gratitude. I've also been an advocate for them releasing him sooner rather than later for that very reason. The longer he's on the sidelines the more people forget what he's done.

In addition, I don't think this is an attempt to fire him with cause. I think the buyout has been determined and he'll get what he agreed to. I think this incident may be enough to go ahead and remove him from this toxic situation.

Who has the link to the press conference? Can’t find it on UTsports.com

Edit: is there one or is it only vol calls?

Ok. I agree he likely wasn't evaluated

It 120% isn't Butches job to evaluate players for concussions

His coaches have a responsibility to notify said independent medical staff of a situation, no?

Ha, wish my company owner felt that way!! He's as close to perfect in every aspect of life, in his eyes, as it gets!! Lol

He claims to be the caretaker of UT football. If he’s going to make such a claim then this ultimately comes back to him. He is responsible for putting the players on the field.

False. If the trainer and SEC official signed off on Him playing Butch is clear. The head coach isn't going to know all that goes on on the sideline

The possible issue is if he told a member of the coaching staff how he was feeling and they did not send him to the doctor but told him to go back in.
