I know we're all having a good laugh at Grude Awakenings expense but.....

don't let this distract you from the the fact that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, Bubba "Spare Tire" Dixon.

lmao

Obviously you were never an athlete. When you feel like the leader of your team and then told you can’t contribute anymore, it’s very freaking painful.

True leaders continue to contribute. Not saying JJ isn't a leader but as a former athlete you couldn't keep me away from my team when they needed me most.

You don’t feel like answering it because you know the truth. Huge risk, and highly unlikely.

Goodness gracious I have been catching up since 10. Lawdy Lawdy, that was some crazy stuff. Feeling good. Wildorange is weary after that catch up. I may hang on a few more minutes but let me say this now, GRUDENIGHT EVERYONE! SOON VERY SOON!

I don’t disagree. And if we’re being honest (and stop being a bunch of fanboys for two seconds), would paying Jon Gruden 7-10 million a year to be a college coach, which he may or may not be successful at be a good idea? Serious question.

If it came down to missing on a sure fire coach like Saban or others...I'll take Gruden before we hired another up and coming bargain hire. Hell Bielema (spelling?) Was supposed to be a great coach. Dude had Wisconsin in the top 10 most years. He is almost as bad as Butch in the SEC...

Hawkpilot I read your thoughts/ conclusion to the clues left and happenings of the last few weeks. Well done sir. Very time consuming on your part and we appreciate your effort. Worth the read.

Too many unknowns. He could be the next Nick Saban or he could be a dud. I’d lean towards him being a very good to great coach, provided he assembles a top notch staff. Could he unite a fractured and fragile fan base? Yes. Could he make us nationally relevant just on publicity alone? Yes.

10 mil is a drop in the bucket for an athletic department like ours. It’s not like we are Georgia Southern it some other directional school. We have tried the up and comer route with no success. Most successful sitting P5 coaches aren’t going to want to leave their current position. So that leaves us at swing for the fences on Gruden or try another up and comer. Why not try the route we haven’t tried since Johnny Majors?

I don't fault JJ at all for focusing on getting better and conditioning... At all. Wtf is he going to do om the sidelines other than cheer? JMO
