Brian Rice has reminded everyone that there are trained observers at all SEC conference games whose job it is to recognize situations like this one and step in if they have to. Obviously, that did not happen with Kendrick.

As stated above, I don't believe that's in the coaches. How are they supposed to call plays, manage the game, and know if someone is hurt? That is why you have professionals who diagnose it. We all want Butch gone, but that is very difficult for a coach to know.

Seems a stretch to assume Butch could be fired with cause for playing him either way. What it smells of is:

1. A riff on the staff being aired in the press

2. Booster agenda

3. Journalists frustrated with no info from Currie just reaching with some dots

Maybe they had the buyout deal about done then this came up and UT is trying to investigate?

I agree with you there. But, they are not the only ones spouting it. I do agree with other posters in that I don't understand how this would be Butch's fault as he is not responsible for evaluating players' injuries.

No way. No head coach has that power or honestly even the time to investigate injuries during a game. Just go by what managers/med staff tell them

I saw another screenshot of a Hutch post. Can't tell if he is still talking about Butch or Gruden. Says he doesn't know timing but it's done.

I think we should investigate Currie for allowing Butch to coach concussed. He is checked out, game management is wobbly, and he's red in the face. And we all con agree we cussed his ass a lot

Just a thought.....

There is a lot of smoke that CBJ was going to be fired Sunday evening. According to some people the media was even put on alert. Then it was shot down and everything was quiet.

What if Jim Haslam knew Sunday evening that Davenport was not going to outsource, which has a direct impact on the Haslam family pocketbook. So he halted it. A hostage situation of sorts.

Just a thought....

I can only monitor 3 rumors at a time. We will have to outsource this one.

Sure, Currie and Davenport may end up blowing this. They may already be blowing it. But to assume that they will based on the failures of Cheek, Hart, and Hamilton isn't exactly fair. Right now nobody here really knows what they're thinking/planning for sure.

If they blow it, I'll be right there with you in anger. Until then, why not just let it play out?

Alrighty then..It is not like I have a choice anyway, I am a Vol, and I always will be. Nobody can accuse me of being a bandwagon fan, but from now on, I'm calling crap for what is.
