More likely Haslam's back doored it and happened early..no interview for Blackburn best I recall..is that right?

And rumor supposedly claims that Anderson had no idea about the Currie hire until after it happened, although I don’t understand how the BOT could have voted without him.

I'm exhausted. I have had 1 day off in 3 weeks and it czught up with me.
Cooked and ate a small ribeye and a sweet potato and fell asleep. Lol

My old lady called and woke me up so here I am.

So have I missed anything good this evening?

The problem with the whole Gruden to Tennessee is that I could see the egg head liberals that run the Admin side and who carry weight on the BOT could nix the Gruden hire.

But as I type this it brings me back to the fact that private/corp big $$$ boosters pay for many of the building projects for UT academia.

So what I don't understand is why this group of high level donors don't just put their collective feet down upon the neck of the Admin and BOT with the weight of their financial clout and make it happen. Perhaps they dont fully understand their decision making abilities...... zero dollars for buildings vs millions and corporate generosity.

it is actually not that complicated..

Perhaps they already have?

I don't believe there's that much of a struggle atm to be honest. I believe it's timing.

Just a gut feeling.

The facilities and stadium was rumored to be involved trash pick up after games. That’s all they told us but also said more involved. We have been told not say anything about it that some of the bot will be here Wednesday. She has a meeting with each and every board member with many topics. And be done Friday

Thank you. You may have just provided a significant puzzle piece.

Do you like car racing by chance?

That's interesting. If they were to outsource facilities management to include the athletic facilities, all decisions from that point forward wound lie with the contractor. I wonder if they had a company in mind or were sending it out to bid.

The company that won the bid is a company called JLL. They say our gov privately owns a small portion of them. But they could have not counted the athletic facilities I’ll have to check my emails and see if anything with athletics is involved. But what we was told was that athletics was involved

good night guys/gals, hope it works out..also hope it dont take me 3 1/2 hours to catch up tomorrow

I hate to say it, but this sounds a lot more like a current coach that has stipulated he intends to finish the current season than Jon Gruden stipulating he intends to finish the MNF season. And not just any coach, but a coach on a team that is going places, and it could hurt his own market value to leave early, so perhaps a coordinator at one of the playoff hopefuls or Scott Frost?

I've heard a few angles about this being related to Gruden's son, but I really just can't see that holding up an EARTH-SHATTERING deal that the University DESPERATELY needs to get done soon. And I can't think of any other reason Gruden would have for holding off. I don't think he'd need to keep mum for ESPN-related issues?

Who knows, maybe...but that said potential coach has a lot of irons in the fire atm.
I'm sure they all need to be dealt with very carefully.

Maybe that was the deal...pay for new buildings and they will let them hire who they want. At least I hope they do not hinder the hire.:crossfingers:

So does not outsourcing facilities management, as Haslam preferred, a sign of anything between Davenport and Haslam family? That seems to introduce a new dimension.

Rumors that it takes money away from Haslam as supposedly he has some involvement with the company that would get hired for facilities management.
