Why do you think that? He could very easily come to an agreement right now. Just wouldn't start until the end of the season.

Does butch have a chance to be back? No.
John Currie is well extremely liked by the people under him. That’s all I really know/care about. I trust in John Currie. I saw first hand how well he handled the baseball search.

I'm thinking both Fulmer and Manning will play a significant role in trying to sell Frost on coming here. I've heard it said that Fulmer is pretty high on him.

Off topic, had about 230 little trick or treaters tonight. That was down from past few years.

Give it another 30 and the porch light is off.

Saw a little chucky, I said Go Vols. Kid said huh? 😂

I live in GA so he had no idea.

By the way...I'm just messing, I believe you, but you don't know anything for sure, just like none of the other guys folks call trolls because they report something they hear.

All I know is this..Butch Jones is at best the second worst coach in UT history...and he is still the Head Coach oif the Tennessee Volunteers, and John Currie ain't doin crap as far as I can tell except letting UF get a jump.

If Currie wanted to keep butch around do you not think he would come out and publically go to bat for him? I’ve said the whole time that I have no information as far coaching candidates or whatever. I just knew how the baseball coaching search went and I also know that there are no “insiders” anymore. A couple managers the last few years got busted for being moles. And a former media relations person.

I get it, but I don't have faith in any UT admin puppet like you do. I have zero reason to. I think Currie is going to trot out Coach McGoogle, and UT football is going to continue being a depressing hurtful enterprise for me. That is what they have done and will continue to do imo, I have absolutely zero reason to believe otherwise. Because he made a baseball hire means nothing to me.

Which is impressive considering he's a Nashville based radio guy.

Still, no way to know exactly how well connected he is. He could have just been lucky enough to have some connection in Gainseville to someone close to that situation.

Seeing him post that makes me cautiously optimisitic though. If Currie has already worked the buyout out and he's done it this quietly, that's a good (albeit small) sign, IMO.


At this point, you've just gotta hope that Currie is the shadow ninja he was made out to be a few weeks ago and has a handle on everything behind the scenes. Because he's done nothing publicly to inspire any confidence in regards to football thus far at Tennessee.
