This thread is a labyrinth of lies, BS, smoke and truth. Many of us seem to have at least put the coherent pieces together, but where it gets fuzzy is at the confluence of Haslam, AA and AD. Figuring this out is damn near as hard as any of us fellas figuring out our wives and why they want us to watch sappy movies, while crying and eating chocolate gluttonously.
We need to fire Butch fast before all the VFLs lose their freaking minds.[/QUOTE
No worries with us. We are just waiting like everyone else. Cause contrary to popular belief, there is no leakage within the AD. Far different story from the Hart era.
I've heard stuff as I mentioned before but nothing seems to have any validity to it. It could be speculation, because from people I've talked to, there is not a peep out of the AD.
Now Boosters, well that's a different story. I've heard all kinds of stuff from boosters and people connected to boosters. But...., that's just boosters and former players.
Pretty valid point that I already realized. However, since Gruden was openly saying he might coach again, it seems to me that if he was interested in a college job such as UT, then he wouldn't say what he was quoted as saying. Then again, he could've just been saying that jokingly, without meaning he has no interest in college coaching. That part of the statement is not a direct quote of Gruden saying I will not coach in college as per the OP I quoted said... but rather what the written interpreted it to mean... I am looking for the direct statement from Grudens lips where he said "I do not want the UT job" that is what the quoted OP had stated
There is no waiting list. I bought season tickets off and on for the last 5 years and my brother in law bought season tickets for the 1st time 2 years ago.

Btw, not trolling at all. I hope UT gets a really good coach this time. It would be intetesting and fun to have Gruden in the SEC at UT. I just don't think it's likely to happen.
