Been reading from the beginning. Here are some thoughts…
1. Everyone on the planet knows that Butch Jones will not coach in 2018.
2. I suspect we have a new coach, but for contractual reasons he cannot yet be revealed.
3. In the meantime, good crisis managers understand the importance of hope. Therefore enough is leaking to provide hope to a frustrated and angry fan base.
4. If what is stated above is true, there is no reason to fire Butch Jones right now. As much as we all want a change, he is probably the best for stability until a new coach is announced.
5. It may be that Butch has agreed to a reduced buyout if allowed to coach the rest of the season.

To answer those who question Jon Gruden's ability to coach the vols..
1. The NFL is designed for theoretical parity. A coach that is better than 50%, has outperformed.
2. College football is a true competition of recruiting and coaching. Great players with great coaching lead to dynasties.
3. Jon Gruden will immediately have an massive impact on our recruiting. If he is the coach we expect he is, he will turn those recruits into great college football players, and return Tennessee football to the ranks of football dynasties.

Didn't see you say a ****ing thing when people were talking about where they served in the military, and they had CONVERSATIONS in the thread about it. Didnt see you say ANYTHING when people had conversations about Golf, their handicaps. Didnt see you say a fricken thing about the conversations people had about fishing. **** you.

I just want to take a second to admire your discipline. You lurk for a long time, drop post, then within 10 minutes..poof, gone. You don't even wait around to see your handywork. Now obviously, you could just sign in with a different account, but then why wouldn't you just lurk from it.

The meeting of the full board will begin at 1 p.m. EDT on Nov. 3 in the Hollingsworth Auditorium on the UT Institute of Agriculture campus. The meeting will be webcast live and archived for later viewing; a link to the webcast will be available at tennessee.edu.
