If you remember that's why the NS got banished to the Pub back in 2012. Nobody else was up at 3 am and it was just you, me and Escape Goat, SamRebel and Doyle Hargraves and a couple other nuts talking about Squatchin, and whatever else was on at 3am 😊

That's always been my philosophy too. But my family all stopped donating, gave up season tickets that had been in the family for over 45 years (section U row 23), and have refused to support the administration since 2013.

As much blood, sweat and tears that my family and friends have left on that field and as much money that we have given to that University over several generations, we just can't bring ourselves to support the administration any longer until positive changes are made.

Hopefully Currie is the change we need and I can start going to games again.

Trying to decide if it is beneficial for the Athletics Committee to be meeting a full day before full BOT where they will talk about South Stadium and Neyland master plans. Maybe that puts the pressure on the athletic committee and rest of board?

I’ve actually laughed out loud several times tonight reading this thread. However picturing the BOT sitting around a table saying dilly dilly almost brought tears to my eyes

Just read where Gruden makes 6.5 million in his ESPN job. That means that UT would probably have to pay him 7.5 to 8 million to come to UT, which I think would put him in the top 5 for college coach pay. Seems like a lot of money to pay a coach who hasn't coached in 9 years and had a 54% winning percentage, about the same that Butch has at UT. This would not be a smart hire for that amount of money, but if they do make the hire, I would hope the contract has a performance specification that significantly limits his buyout if and when he only averages winning 7 or 8 games a year. Paying these huge buyouts for mediocre performance is getting ridiculous, not the way it should work.

I dont want to be the dude but the only way we get real change in this AD is for us to give up hoping the 007 "mastermind power players behind the scenes" BS is true and demand real commitment from this university .. I want an elite legit football coach more than anyone here and I know Gruden and Chip Kelly fit that mold but the current administration DOES NOT care about athletic excellence or to word it better it is NOT a priority..

Beverly Davenport is cut from the same mold as booger eater.. She has no clue what college football really means in the southeast and frankly doesnt give a rip.. Do any of us if we are willing to be objective really think that this idiot John Currie is an alpha that will get the man needed to make us a perennial title contender?

Look I want to believe Beav and Boro and DTO and whoever else has got a cousin that knows a dude that grooms Big Jim Haslam's poodle but I learned my freaking lesson in 2012.. The same power structure that brought us the douchebag we have now is for the most part the same now and until we raise enough hell by lighting social media up, refusing monetary support, etc. we will be relegated to Nicky Satan's whipping post EVERY 3rd Saturday in Oct..

I remember when that would have been COMPLETELY unacceptable.. Powers that be at Alabama, Ohio State,Clemson etc. certainly care about academics but tmake no mistake they care more about winning football games.. These idiots are more concerned with being "Harvard of the South"

P.S. I hope I get to eat crow and Jon Gruden is the next head football coach.. God I hope
