At the end of the day the dollar figure doesn't matter much if the boosters are willing to foot the bill (and it seems they are).

How do we know this is a rumor? Vol Colonel is a known person. He has a blog on Tony Basilio's web site and appears on the show. His tweet said he welcomes legal action because he has proof. Did someone see his proof and find it lacking, or are some people saying it's a rumor without knowing what they're talking about?

That’s not him. Whatever you want to say about Butch, he errs on the side of caution with player injuries...sometimes to an extreme. This is desperate fiction because it WOULD solve a lot of issues very quickly if it weren’t invented. Vol Colonel is pegging himself as a liar if he insists on this bent.

My first offer would be in the 7-8 million range.

If he wants to go higher, I’ll bump it up in the 9-10 million range.

Anything higher than that, would be really risky considering he’s never been a college coach.

If Gruden takes the job this will be as big of news as when Peyton announced he was staying for his senior year!

Saban will make close to $14 mill this year from Bama!

I really hope he does as we really need a huge energizing to this program. The recruiting is there. Just needs the proper staff now to push it over and get us back on top kicking Bama's ass!

Look at the Alabama economics since Saban had been there and they've been winning. Plus their academic applications have increased from 15000 to 45,000 a year, letting them get a higher gpa enrollment.

Takes money to make money.

Supposedly, the boosters are paying for it because they're tired of the ****show of a football program we have. If the University doesn't get that straightened out, then they pull their support elsewhere, so is trying to save 5 million with a Mac level coach worth losing 20 million elsewhere?

That is where this loyal fan base turns into a negative. So many continue to show up for games despite the pathetic product on the field. They can look at the revenue from the last decade and decide fans will continue to come.

That alone should make it out of the question for him to ever show his face around these parts.
