Just a couple of honest thoughts...JMO, IMHO, 10/31 is when the Corona Contest ends which is probably the end of Grudens commitment. Also, the betting line closes for the offshore betting of the next coach at UT.

10 Million and that’s not counting the assistants...

I think Gruden would be a solid hire but not sure he’d deserve to make more money than Saban his 1st year as a college HC.

Seems risky but it could work.

If you had a billion dollars what would you pay?

I only want Gruden, if we don't get him. Just shut it down. We will hire some no body from southwest North Dakota state Chipmunks. For 12$ an hour and a fifth of whiskey.

Look at the Alabama economics since Saban had been there and they've been winning. Plus their academic applications have increased from 15000 to 45,000 a year, letting them get a higher gpa enrollment.

Takes money to make money.

Supposedly, the boosters are paying for it because they're tired of the ****show of a football program we have. If the University doesn't get that straightened out, then they pull their support elsewhere, so is trying to save 5 million with a Mac level coach worth losing 20 million elsewhere?

I thought I had trouble setting down a good Jim Harrison or Tom Clancey novel. But, this thread, with lawyers, Bubba and the Scarabbeans and now with the KH Ecomics lesson. Couple all this with the usual great insiders and toss in a Beaver for good measure. Heck toss in Ivan while you’re at it with some fancy Scotch. I mean, you couldn’t write this novel if you wanted to, and I can’t set it down.

Yes! I'm an avid reader (usually 3 or 4 books a month) and I haven't cracked one open in weeks! I keep telling Mr. SFD that this is the best book I've ever read!
