K-H improvements aren't necessarily Pareto improvements. In this case, whether it's a Pareto improvement depends on Peyton's fund-raising abilities.

I have never heard these terms and words until today, but does it benefit the boosters position to have done this BAFTA? Does it basically put the UT admin in a bind if they don't agree?

Yeah, that is the presumption we have based on the narrative being brought by bubba, MIT, etc.

If the boosters are truly coming to the table and saying: "Accept this deal, or our money will be taken away." Then the University won't have much choice.

As an aside, it's a fine line that makes this strategy not extortion. This is a good example of why in a perfect world public institutions wouldn't be dependent on private money. It's all good when its Gruden on the end, but nefarious ends could be met with similar tactics.

Okay, that makes complete sense. Like I said elsewhere, I'm not familiar enough with these terms to use them totally fluently.

I did a bit more reading in the last few minutes, and I am realizing the ways I was wrong.

Would it be proper to say that Peyton's fundraising is to accommodate a perceived value loss by another party to the deal (Academics?)?

Yeah I just looked at his last few posts and it looks like he was being singled out by a few trolls because they view him as an "insider". It sucks, but it seems to be what VN turns into during these coaching searches.
