Doubletree hotel in Knox.
Deal was signed there.
Book it.
Maybe...
I agree, completely. There have been too many people talking about this date, and talking about a "Tuesday."
However, I'm not convinced of something happening tomorrow being a true harbinger moment. It could be a whisper that grew, it could be significant. I'm not going to lose faith until I'm told directly by Currie on camera.
We were also told by almost all of the insiders that they didn't have information about the timing. The core group (boro, ATL, MIT, bubba, DTO) all were consistent in that point. The more recent leaks point to the 31st, but I'm not positive that's a defining moment.
Nah, I just figured it out. Not good news:
The Springboks is the nickname of the South African rugby squad. Afrikaans is an official language of South Africa, and oak tree translates to "eikehout boom." Couldn't make heads or tails of it.
But then, I remembered Afrikaans is based on the Dutch language. Oak tree is "eik boom." Closer, but still not there.
Then it hit me: treeS! Plural! At least 2 trees: boom boom.
So we have "eik boom boom." Transpose the "m" from the end of the "boom"s to the first word.
meik boo boo
Mike Bobo.

I sometimes wonder why we want Gruden so bad. He did win a Super Bowl and that is about it. Other than that season and one more he was below .500 as an NFL coach and ended his career 100 and 85 with a playoff record of 5 and 4. Other than his NFL career he was a position coach in college has never been the head man. So he is the guy that most want to be the coach here, but I don't see a lot of good coaching years. He was 4 and 12 one season and 5 and 11 another. Of course he has that Super Bowl.
I think, while the date/dates (10/31, 11/3) could have certain effects, is certainly not the whole thing. I think its a stumbling block that must be reached first. I think if you are saying, we know X tomorrow, you are setting up yourself and many others for a downhill ride on the rollercoaster.
I think this could be the date, but honestly I don't know. It wouldn't surprise me to see it be much later (per those contracts). This may not mean an announcement doesn't come sooner. (i.e. contracts signed 10/31, future effective date).
In that case, Currie could come out and say, "We've done the deal, it will be effective [DATE]."
