This is what I've been saying and why I am absolutely dumbfounded by the administration's silence.

I knew it was bad when there was a pair of Homecoming Game tickets given away at a golf tournament I played in, and they were traded in on a sleeve of top flites!

As far as silence from Gruden camp...it's better than hearing him say "absolutely no" publicly...and you know Gruden would never say "yes...i'm coming to coach UT" while Butch is still the coach. No way. So...we wait. Who knows. Maybe Gruden himself requested they let Butch continue to coach as part of the negotiations? And maybe Gruden is not in play at all. All of this is possible. Let's hope where there's smoke there's fire in this case with Gruden.

If someone misleads by omission, it's still misleading. I stand by what I said in XXIV.

That being said, I don't like negativity either, and still believe Gruden is going to be our next coach. Too much evidence supporting that from many angles.

QQ - and I'm not joking. Did CBJ ever really have the support of boosters at UT? From everything I've heard, he rubbed people the wrong way from day 1, even down to silly stuff like his limp handshake. But was given the benefit of the doubt because of rapid churn from Fulmer to Kiffin to Dooley...

Reason I ask, is if CBJ never really had the support, Currie would have been hired with full support to axe CBJ first chance he got. If I'm right, seems to me the wait now is a matter of getting ducks in a row vs. something more conspicuous.

All I know is that UT needs to get on with this. My wife last night said "have they fire Butch yet so I can get my husband back?" because I've been on this site so much.

im here because i want Gruden. The self proclaimed insiders didnt convince me 5 years ago and havent proven anything now. As much as we want them to be right, take a step back and take it for what it is rumor and hearsay.
