He’s had a enough. I believe he’s truly say “F it” and is going to start dumping info now. He knows a lot more than we think. Think he’s putting or feelers to see how the Powers respond and to put pressure on them.

A lot if the know information is coming from the lettermen/ Fulmer camp. He falls well within that group, and likely knows everything.

One cannot possibly believe our AD is as inept as this process seems. The silence is deafening, work is being done or has been completed.

Unfortunately he's not giving hourly updates to social media and the message board community.

When it dies down here for 15 minutes the conspiracies start, and everybodys blood pressure gets elevated.

I don't know who the new coach will be....I know who I think it will be. But I do know Butch Jones won't be wandering the sidelines inside Neyland Stadium next season....and right now that's enough.

There are so many answers in this statement

I believe that the ink is dry on Gruden and I believe that happened yesterday around the time news broke that Butch was mtg with admin. I think Currie then met with coaches, and unable to find a willing leader had to evaluate BATNA with Butch to figure out how to finish the season.

I would prefer to go with your theory. However, in the context of the conversation last night, I stick to my interpretation of MIT's BATNA post. Perhaps he could clarify.

I think the $10 million report, which is two week old info, was released to dump this whole mess in the lap of the academics who are holding it up. Every other interested coach just raised their price as what we are willing and able to pay is now publicized. We lost most of our bargaining power.

I'm in commercial sales....if I know my clients budget for a project, I've already won.

Absofreakin lutely.....

Rob them of negotiating power except for one man.

Yep. The timing of that and then Griffith's article are pretty telling.

Apologies. Doc took shots at JAV ( I know JAV for clarification) for being an insider and bc he said things that weren't positive, he knew nothing, his sources were wrong. Just made a point that Doc was the one wrong the first time and it's obvious his sources are wrong this time. I should have worded it better and not included others. That, I apologize. :hi:

Don’t recall taking shots at jav. There’s another Doc_Vol running around here too.

I think Butch knew he was fired when Chris Low did his article spending the day with Barb. One of her quotes in that article was "whoever the next coach is will benefit greatly from all the hard work he has put it". I believe that was the day of the Georgia game that the story was written. If that's true they knew prior to that game.

I agree. Meeting happened, no interims wanted it, ok boys hold the show til we can find an interim or refigure the timing on butch.

247 also said it would cause a huge fight among coaches, only RG could take it and not be a big riff. Asked more about it, he mentioned Asst HC and DC, so names should be easy to come by as far as the internal battle.

I would feel better if they would just let it be known today that Jones is out. Even if they say he is going to finish out the season. I think doing this could save homecoming from getting really ugly.

I don't think they knew prior to Georgia. Things really hadn't started to circle the drain before that, IMO.
