Nope troll attempt

Wrong..
The posts were pulled from Vol Nugs (Twitter) by request from the original poster.
The orginial poster contacted Vol Nugs this morning, and was told to delete the tweet.
Nugs verified that it was original poster, and deleted the tweet.
Multiple credible posters on TOS this morning verified the authenticity of the screenshots..
Why would a troll go all thru this work to get something pulled, especially fake text pics with no phone numbers on it?

Exactly. They have no way of proving it beyond a reasonable doubt. One would assume that anyone making a death threat would do so anonymously, and take measures to avoid any documentation of it. It’s just not something you can definitively prove. If they use this to fire him with cause, no coach will ever want to come there.... So I kinda hope they do it 😁.

Yeah, you're absolutely right. So there might be a chance that the Florida Athletic Department is about to **** their football team more than Tennessee ever has.

I see. They might be making a big mistake if they fire him on the grounds of not being able to prove his family got threats of that nature. Surely the Florida AD is smarter than that?

Well, if he says he did get said threat. He would be ask how. Text, USPS, email, phone call, or tweet?

All should be pretty easy to prove if it happened. At the same time, all should be pretty easy to prove it didn't happen.

Keep something in mind. John Currie is not acting independently here. No one is waiting for him to "make up his mind." He either has permission to act at a certain time (and not before) or he does not have permission to act yet. For my part, I'm comfortable waiting to see if Butch is giving the Monday presser. I don't think he will, based on what I've heard, but it's within the realm of possibility. I'm not MIT, giving out guarantees and done deals.

Still think he's gone, and we find out about it SOON. :)

Yep, he is a puppet waiting on the green light from the powers above.

My Grude meter is going way down. If he filmed the show then he is not going to be fired tomorrow. They fired Dooley before his show. We continue to get worse and worse, yet the admin just continues to let Butch roam our sidelines. They are hurting this team and program by waiting. We need an interim to give us a breath of fresh air and get us through the rest of the season. Plus Butch saying he still expects Currie's full support does not sound like a guy who has been fired and/or discussing buyout negotiations with the guy. I really think they are going to screw this up and make excuses for Butch so they can give him more time. Even though he has had five years and we look like we belong in the FCS. Under Butch's command we have hit some historic program lows.

These past few weeks have been some of the worst I can remember as a Tennessee fan. It's the culmination of a decade of mediocrity, but I just do not care or feel pain anymore, I just feel anger and embarrassment that our admin has let it get this far. I am a 2x alum of Tennessee and I cannot even wear my UT gear with pride anymore. We are pathetic. We are a joke. And I feel helpless too in the sense that what can I do to fix it or change this situation. I just wish the people who made the decisions at Tennessee cared and felt the same way we do about our program. Sadly, it's just another business to them.
