From my perspective I put my odds at JG coming at 65-70%. I don’t think it is a done deal per se like MIT does....but i could certainly be wrong...I Had multiple smoke screens thrown my way throughout the week. Earlier in the week i was 50/50 but man there is so much pointing to this thing getting done and the right people to get it done being involved that I feel like it will be a total collapse on our side if it falls through. So I am hopeful...and let me also be clear. In the event i got word that this deal was 100% done before it was announced I would never give that out in this forum...not my place to do that and certainly there are some things you just let play out....and I have a role with this university that I don’t want to jeapordize So enjoy the ride..

In regards to butch...that ship sailed...I didn’t however hear anything in regards to this timing i have been seeing after the KY game. I also haven’t really asked that question though. My focus and attention has been ensuring the program know where i stand on the current situation and also trying to help keep some of these recruits at bay while the ship is falling apart if that makes sense.

Thanks for the info.

Speaking of firing. Both main FL boards says McElwain is gone Sunday.

Is there some sort of Put you can buy against this absurd Gruden story? I want to bet against this like now. Now this is the easy money - not the dumb money chasing down odds. Just wow at the gullible nature of this fan base. Me at times included.

sure, pick the coach you think we hire and bet on him.

In the end, the things I've heard point to Gruden being hired, but anyone who makes claims with 100% accuracy is one to be wary of.

Hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that a guy could be truly that connected so high up, and yet want to come by and drop off "nuggets" that do nothing other than beg for attention and likes.

I hope he's right. We all want the same thing. But skepticism is healthy for us all.

I agree. It also seems like he really cares if people believe him or not. Most that truly have info don't care if you believe them or not, they are just sharing.

Even with little action, it takes large lumps to keep moving it tho, especially this much. I could be wrong, but I doubt there are any rich posters on VN betting large amounts of money on Gruden. Maybe stupid posters betting large amounts lol. I can't see that tho. I doubt most people on here would have that kind of cash to blow.

For the record my 10 dollar bet at +1800 didn't move it.

Thanks for your opinion. It’s always welcome no matter what one thinks. Please don’t act like you’re insider though. Have seen many of your posts for a long time Mostly recruiting and you’re like the majority including myself. Someone that enjoys discussing UT sports that acquires their info from radio, social media and message board.

You’re stepping out to gain e cred because most likely Gruden will not be a head coach here and post decision you hope to be viewed as an insider however no post history to date has ever shown that to be true, actually your post history demonstrates the exact opposite.

Go Vols

Bazinga!

Or "Burn!" for those non Big Bang Theory viewers.

Thank you. I certainly hope nobody here will pester you about it.

When/if we really have Gruden, the rest of us will pretty much all know together and it will be like being surprised at a Christmas present rather than tearing a hole in the wrapping to take a peek.

That being said I expect you to celebrate alongside us.

You have opinions and you're entitled to them. And I never once claimed to be an "insider", whatever that is, but I do know what I know and I'll leave it at that.

We all know what we know. And it’s just a fact that none of your historical posts back up the fact that you somehow have gained privileged knowledge to behind the scenes activity. I read them all.

Nobody can prove or validate people bringing “legit” info on here but several years of being an ordinary poster like the rest of us and now weeks into this Gruden thread you all of a sudden try to drop info as if it comes from someone in the know??? Of course people doubt it!

And one thing doesn’t make sense...you’re breaking a promise not to provide information? I get that except your info isn’t exactly something earth shattering that needed to be kept a secret. Doesn’t add up. Sorry.

Our GREAT University is very lucky to have a person like you connected with the program.

Nah....we are lucky to have passionate fans like yourself and everyone else here.

We simply want to be in a position to compete...and it has been quite a while since that has been the case. I am ready to spend what i have to get us back there...and I can assure you there are other folks with the resources to do so that are in the same boat. The problem is when some of those people who give those resources expect and sometime demand to be involved in all the major decisions. That only works when there is 1 person making the calls.......too many cooks in the kitchen is a great saying...and one that holds true in university athletic programs.

The razor says theres no rush to fire a guy when you have your man. All over but watching Butchy squirm over his buyout vs. coaching lustre....

Let that sink in

Well I pray they picked the right "one" this time.

I'm too old to go through this crap again.
