Yeah looks like UGA vs Bama will be playing eachother every year for a while in the SEC championship games. The gap between them and everyone else is just ridiculous

The academics side is what people are speculating could he holding up things. They are trying to force him through and I would bet money that Currie isn’t the one standing in the way. JMO. The Currie hate is just way to premature. None of us know anything about what is going on behind the scenes.

This is my concern with beaver’s info...his motive. He made a comment that he hopes he ruffles feathers with it. Why? Does he need to so that someone doesn’t back out this time?

Way premature. Currie has been the AD for less than 8 months, and people want him fired. I wonder about our fans sometime.

This is what I was alluding to. I think that’s what needs to happen to make this hire or another homerun hire. Boosters to need threaten to cut off donations and fans need to threaten to stop by tickets and merchandise.

If the admin doesn't screw it up? Do you think it is possible Gruden just does not want to coach right now or just does not want to coach college football?

In other words, why is it the admins fault? Obviously, I think all of the Gruden stuff is silly, but I also think we have some looney tunes in this fan base that just have to point the finger at someone to blame. For example, calling for Currie's job right now is just nonsense.

Guys - regardless of whether people want to agree or even think about it, Chaney is one of the best OC's in the game. He can adapt to various systems/rosters and has proved it successfully several times. When he paired up with Pittman it all came together as he had an O-line coach that knew his side of it inside and out. Pittman is not just a zone blocking guy, he's taught man schemes as well and knows the game.

Sometimes I wonder if the academic administration really would be against a hire like Gruden. I mean if Beaver is right they were fighting tooth and nail to stop the hire. Why?

Yeah he said it was brute forced in my the big money people. He essentially said if they want the boosters to foot the bill of the buyout, they're not doing it so they can hire PJ freaking Fleck.

Yeah, we have a real problem brewing. All these fake insiders give themselves an out by saying "we can make this happen and if it doesn't its because the administration blew it" when in reality they're talking to Gruden but he's making it clear he doesn't want the job for a variety of reasons. The issue, however, is that after we make a hire, and said hire loses his first big game, the narrative will be "well we could've had Gruden but our administration doesn't care about winning."
