Listening to The Ainge Show this morning and he's talking about how he wants to see Jones have 2 more years to see him with all of his guys running his system. He thinks it's still a little too early to tell and we're being impatient.

I just can't understand that thinking

OldVols's FYP in case anyone missed it

Admissions is a sticking point in the academic vs athletic battle. We are at a competitive disadvantage relative to our conference when it comes to admissions standards for prospective student athletes. This is one way in which the academic faction inside the University has been trying to diminish the influence of the football program.

"I am — every year — preparing myself to coach. Sometimes I show up at (a training) camp, and I show up in the offseason, and people let me coach. I jump in drills and they still let me install plays and call plays at some places. I still have a lot of fun.

I haven’t lost the itch, though. I miss the players. I won’t deny that. I don’t want to start anything, but I say the same thing to everybody. There are very few passions in my life. The man upstairs, family and football."

Gruden said he’s had opportunities to return, but he’s just holding out for the perfect fit. However, he ruled out coaching in college, joking: 'I would probably have you on probation within four or five weeks,' because of all the recruiting and NCAA rule challenges.

I’ve met with several people. I won’t deny that.” - Jon Gruden, July 2017

The fact that Gruden is speaking with coaches should not surprise anyone, but don't be fooled into thinking that's evidence that he's coming to coach Tennessee. It's just evidence he's seriously considering coaching, but the odds are still against us.

Didn't think of that angle, would admissions have that large if an impact on overall academic administration?

I believe it’s all part of the problem. Isn’t it amazing Bama can get in people that can’t even read; that cant get admitted anywhere else?

From poster on VQ...
"Yesterday Jon Gruden left Philadelphia and traveled to Charlotte where he met with NCSU OC Eli Drinkwitz this morning"

Googled NCSU Offensive Coordinator and saw an article I thought was interesting that talks about the combination of the spread and the power running game. Could this be the hybrid spread?

Doeren believes Drinkwitz will be able to blend what he did at Boise State, a combination of Auburn’s spread scheme with Stanford’s power running game – he worked with former Cardinal offensive coordinator Mike Sanford at Boise State in 2014 – at N.C. State.

hate to be that guy, but what's the word since about 10 pm yesterday...i know all about the beaver fiasco but nothing since...any takers?

Boro, on mobile, instead of going to giphy just google whatever gif you would like. When the search results pull up, click on images. That should pull up all available for what you searched. If its a gif, it should say gif in the corner of each one. Click on one and make sure it plays. If it plays, hold on the image until you get the option to view image. Click view image and when that screen opens, copy the link in the www bar at the top.

Some still dont work. I seem to have a problem with gifs from giphy also.

What would be nice is if we could talk Freak into adding a feature that would allow posts to be previewed before posting.
