OC of a top offense at Oregon

National recruiter of the year.

Undefeated with a team that was 0-12 just two years ago

National Championship winning QB

6 years NFL experience....on defense

Mother was Olympic athlete

His coaching tree and coaches he played under is tremendous

The guy has a pedigree of a champion

This positives go on and on for this guy. Played for Belichick, Gruden, Bill Walsh, and Tom Osborne. Makes so much sense.

To those that asked:

I have not see the plan. I have been told about it and with what I know about how the AD operates it lines up perfectly.

I do not think for one second that any long shot or tier 3 coach will be getting any shot.

We have legit chances and people in place to make one of the tier 1 guys say yes.

I appreciate you answering my question. This information sounds very plausible and makes sense.

If he proceeds to win every game on his schedule by 2+ scores, which looks very possible, that is the kind of dominance Urban Meyer put on display at places like Bowling Green and Utah. Not to mention that he'd be doing that 2 years removed from a winless season.

Here is my opinion on Frost

The reason some info has been leaked about interest in him despite his short HC experience is because people heavily involved in this search that know Football, (AKA Peyton and Phil) know Frost is the next big thing

I don’t think Frost would be a bad hire, there are lots of things to like about him.

The people acting like it’s either Gruden or then we just go get Frost are building him up to something he’s not yet IMO

He’s a massive risk that I would hope turns out for the better. His resume isn’t something that screams back up the Brinks truck and go get him.

Would be a very calculated risk. The chances of him being a very good head coach at this level are far better than him not being one IMO.

Urban Meyer written all over him. The way he tries to embarrass teams would be a heck of a nice change around here.

I never have believed for a second, that Gruden would leave MNF.

That being said, knowing that ESPN has been trimming fat, and that his contract is quite large...

I'm in the minority, but I'm still kinda like, "Bring me the Frosty one." I'm certainly intrigued to see if Gruden could do it here, because I think that is no where close to a given. There is also the possibility that he is here for two years, and hates college coaching life, and jumps to the NFL. A lot of unknowns

Is it just me, or does "doxing" sound like some weird sex move you would have to look up on Urban Dictionary?

Hubbs was asked in chat tonight if Gruden would be next UT coach and he said he's not sure Gruden even wants to coach. So he was then asked hypothetically if he did decide to coach next fall where would he coach...

If it's a college job and Tennessee will write the check then Tennessee makes most sense. But I wouldn't rule out the NFL if he wants to get back to coaching. I don't think he's blackballed from the NFL
