Listen. I'm sorry if i've hurt any of your "feelings." Like i said last night: I was here in 2012. I hung on every word of “insiders.” I hoped. I prayed. I got excited about the future of UT football and then..... it didn’t happen. I felt sick, discouraged and depressed.

Now, fast forward 5 years and the same claims are being made.

Hyamms is being reported as saying today that he spoke with Currie and Currie is willing to take the heat, loss of donations, etc. if retaining Butch is what's best for the program. That doesn't sound like a man who hired Gruden last week.

At the end of the day, we all want what's best for TN. I'm not that old - but I do remember the good days. When I first joined VN 11 years ago, the only fans being bashed were those of the opposing teams.

I hope we all soon have reason to have those conversations again.

Can’t “hire” anyone as we publicly have a current coach...

Well it may be nothing, but people are definitely checking in with VN today to see if something happens. We're almost at 7000 online right now. It's usually like 3500. Anxiety is high.

I dated an MIT guy once. Really sharp guy, came from money, but I don't think it was beaver. Darn.

Leave his identity alone. I enjoy a good sleuthing myself, but I don't want him to quit posting. His tidbits are the only good news we have.

Respect that. I was all in then and am all in now. This time it just feels and seems different. Maybe I’m wrong.

However, you lost me at Hyamms. I think him and Low are as bout as in touch with what’s going on as you and I. He said on the radio this am if Butch goes 8-4, he’s almost certain he’d be back and that the reaction of he fans and media don’t matter. That’s total bull crap. I believe it’s fans who pack Neyland, buy jerseys and send in donations. He should absolutely care what we think. And Larry has said in this thread he knows he won’t be back because at the very least, Butch WANTS to leave.

Said JJ had some reoccurring neck and shoulder injuries and after consulting with doctors, he will no longer play football. He will remain a member of the team.

so much for the he is fired rumor...goes to prove that all of this crap is just that...crap...no one really knows anything...period...

Depressing to hear...even from Hack Hyams...that Currie is willing to take the heat if Butch is best for the program.

Currie=Hart I'm afraid

That is true, it's down to him and DTO (?), who said something would happen on Tuesday. I need something to believe in at this point.

He’s stil our coach and Warrior posted that pic last night. Now, someone tell me that Butch hasn’t lost the locker room. That’s straight up disrespect towards your coach without any fear of repercussions.

I take them both in doses but Clay bothers me more when he gets on his political tirades for days on end. I tuned in a few weeks ago for a few days and he talked about the Michael Bennett situation way too much and wanted way too much credit for being the only media member discussing it. Clay does care way too much about being correct. Finebaum is more entertaining and stays the course of what his show is IMO.

Yeah, I don't want politics mixed with my sports. I'll give you that for sure.

I thought haslam agreed to pay butchs buyout?! I'm so done with this AD department. If the Kentucky game is the determined pedestal for Tennessee these days to decide whether we should keep our or coach or not is downright pathetic
