My theory on Currie's inaction is that he is afraid of looking like Alleva. I also think he thought he was going to land Gruden and be the overwhelming hero. Instead he could easily be Hart 2.0 with his own CBJ.

The moment he fires Butch all failures from that point forward are on him.

Sack up Currie and call the damn ball Maverick.

And last year USC beat us with a new QB that based on age should have been at his high school homecoming dance the night they beat us.

Your post seemed pretty condescending towards the conversation I was in. Surely if you read it again you can see why I would take it that way. Least I'm not calling someone a prick on an anonymous message board. I try to keep my conversations in here as I would have them in a face to face setting.

Pretty sure he had stayed back a year in school and was the same age as any other college freshman. Talking heads misrepresented that and blew it out of proportion.

It does matter if we end up 5-7 or 4-8. We are one of the few programs in the country who have NEVER lost eight games in a season. If that doesn't matter to Currie and UT admin then eff them. If we cannot land Gruden or another huge name and proven winner-give the keys to Frost. Whoever said it earlier, if he ends up at Florida we are screwed for the next decade plus.

He sees the relative job security you can obtain if you have a University over the barrel on pay. I mean what could Michigan actually do with Jim's giant contract? Besides that who would they hire Bill Belicheck?

We go 6-6 and play Memphis in a bowl game and beat the crap out of them. Norvell is hired as our coach 24 hours later.
