Dooley didn't have half the roster making Butch mayor of Super Suckland.

The classic for Dools in his first season in 2010 was having too many men on the field at the critical point against LSU.

Yesterday there was no critical point in the game, but on two occasions Butch couldn't get the right number of players on the field. One cost a TO when there were only 10. The other cost a penalty when they couldn't get the 12th guy off in time. Butch's 5th season.

I think 3 bowl wins and having us in conversations to get to the SEC Championship game is much better than sitting at home and having no postseason success.

LWS spent quite a bit of time doing Q&A in the FF. Pretty much Butch is done and nothing he can do to change that, no timetable but likely November. Candidates are mostly sitting coaches and its wide open as far as a search.

Yeah, the "he can recruit" thing... He had two outstanding classes- and credit where credit is due there, those were a big part of getting the talent level at least moderately up- but his last two classes were in the neighborhood of Dooley's classes. I think we can easilyfind someone who is the equivalent or better at recruiting.

And like you said, once they are on campus...yeesh...

I'll roll with LWS until given a reason not to. Hopefully we get lucky and Frost is the guy. I'm confident Brohm can get it done as well. Morris, Campbell, Durkin, & Norvell are just as likely to be bums as Dooley and Butch were, although I'd take any of them over keeping Butch for another season.

It's frustrating but we're not going to get any of the big names we want and it feels like a waste of time to entertain the idea.

Start talking yourselves into Norvell or Morris as head coach.

I think it would take a colossal screw up to not land Frost if that's who we want.

My concern is that he wants to wait for UF to open up, but I don't think that happens until next year. The fact that it's a possibility means Currie needs to get him inked before Mac has a chance to leave.

But even if Frost decides to wait, he leaves millions of dollars on the table, and there's no guarantee he'll get the job he wants next year. Needs to jump at Tennessee if we offer him the keys to the kingdom.

Would prefer Morris to Norvell. Just not a fan at all.

Just based on recent hires by USC, Florida, LSU, and Texas, what most would consider a big name on here is unlikely.
