Like others here, I ventured out to read other threads. Man, it's gotten nasty out there! Sometimes here, but it's more of a roller-coaster here.

I posted a few weeks ago that VN has changed for the worse. It used to be like a neighborhood bar--jokes, brags, semi-civilized arguments, and the occasional scuffle. Now it's more like being mugged non-stop.

I hope the mods (and less vitriolic members) can get this atmosphere turned around or at least dialed back some. I like being here as a contrast to the outside world, not a continuation of it.

And thanks to the mods and Freak for what they do. I was a moderator for five years or so, and it's not easy. :hi:

Although I honestly don't think he comes back next year regardless of whether he gets fired or not. There's no way in hell he has the guts to stick around this lions den next year. He'll bolt for another job if he can find one.

Not so sure about that. The money is to good to maybe ignore. Jones knows he's at the pentacle of his career in terms of elite jobs. So to him he's probably think better cash in while I can. Fools gold.

Until this university decides it wants to play big boy football, we're going to be wandering through the wilderness of mediocrity. As long as the fans continue to support this program while we wander, we'll continue to wander. When people quit eating the sh!t sandwiches they serve up and tell themselves it's filet mignon, that's when thinks will change and not before. I'm as confident as I can be that Haslam will trot out another hope and a prayer and this fan base will continue to lap it up like a puppy to milk. It's cycle that for some reason can't be broken.

Believe no one, and trust the process. If the Grude is going to make a comeback it'll be this year, and for the Tennessee Vols. If he does not this year, more than likely the man will never coach. My thoughts are to take everything like a grain of salt on here, and pay close attention once Botch Jones is fired. Nothing is set in stone since we haven't even gotten rid of him yet. Currie was sent in to haul Gruden in. Trust the process, and soon.
