Butch hasn't sent out a tweet since Oct 10th. The Tuesday before the USCjr game. Very out of character for him. Probably around the same time he was told Gruden would be there for the game and to take his job.

Top 5 in earnings, top 15 in wins (nation) No 2 in wins (sec) top 5 in attendance and this is where we are? Defending Butch Jones? Ponderous man. Ponderous.

If you keep Butch for our next home game, imagine the turnout. Currie is too smart and frugal to allow a needless and significant drop in revenue. If not Monday, then after Kentucky game. Right?

Thank God for the Gruden threads as it offers some small measure of comfort in these troubling football times.

Went over to USCjr’s boards. They seem to think Gruden will be a failure as a head coach. LOL.

As if the most popular man in all of American football the past few years could not recruit to Tennessee at least as well as Botch Jones could.

And I’m pretty sure half of their fans don’t even realize Tennessee vs Alabama is one of the most traditional rival games in cfb...they also don’t seem to think Tennessee has ever been good and a few of them mentioned we couldn’t afford a new coach bc we are still paying Dooley LOL.

THAT is the team and fanbase Butch lost to. Some of the most ignorant cfb fans out there, coached by the babbling moron Muffcramp—who probably yells at his wife in public.

Please God bring Gruden.

I tried catching up on the last 10 pages of the thread, but it's more of an emotional roller coaster than my marriage.

I hope this coaching search has a happier ending than that did.

Butch needs to man up like the guy at Oregon St. did and admit he isn't getting it done and resign. Today! If he will not then Currie needs to just show him the door. Today! There is no need to allow him to coach in the KY game. It will be like Dooleys last KY game, an embarrassment.

This is true. My first posts last time were when my husband called and said he met Grider who was at his school to talk to the ad about softball for his daughter. This was right after things started breaking about him leaving south pitt. So I got an acct and started posting.

I got fired up about the Gruden thing happening this time, then I realized I was setting myself up for a letdown again. I really don't think he will come I just don't. No one would have info like that I don't think. All the big check writers would not reveal this. Anyone can say they know a guy who knows a guy and we all run with it. But I haven convinced myself it is not going to happen. We will hire a Dan Mullen or Bobby Petrino IMO

I'm hoping beyond all hope that it's Gruden. And when I read some peoples posts (MITBeaver for example), I'll convince myself its happening. Then I'll read other peoples (LWS for example), and I think it won't. It is a roller coaster that I'm trying to enjoy.

If not Gruden, then I'm hoping for Frost or Brohm. Mullen would work as well.

But whatever happens, I'm hoping Tennessee football returns. I took for granted the 'good ol days.'
