But even after that, I can’t get any info this time around even from the same person who kept me in the loop last go around. Literally no info is getting out.

Different AD releasing less info would be my guess if thats true.

Bingo. Just pointing out that anyone claiming to have the answers at this point literally knows nothing.

And that’s not me claiming I know the details. It’s just me saying that in the past, it’s been easier to get answers and information, but not this time.

I hope so! I just don't put much stock in the "leaks". I imagine if overtures are being made, Currie has a very small (and non-official) team making them. I do not believe they would leak any real info, and if they did I fully believe that would be their last mission for Currie.

I believe the UTAD side is tight lipped, but it's hard to keep everyone else quiet. People in general can not keep their mouth shut, especially if they know something this big. Someone is leaking from boosters or Gruden's family and friends.

okay, seriously, can someone explain to me the purpose, the useful, needful, purpose, for all the cloak and dagger mis(dis)information stuff ... if indeed that's what's happening?

Sure. It's all about being able to conduct negotiations with as little outside influence as possible. Outside influence could be a lot of things: salary speculation, fan pressure to do something NOWNOWNOW, pressure on the Gruden family, professional and legal concerns with Butch.

Lots of reasons to muddy the waters and get work done while everyone on the outside is sifting through the garbage.
