Official Jon Gruden Thread XX

You know how people talk though on the golf course, lot of opinions, lot of "big boosters" or so called boosters trying to make themselves look bigger then they really are with some info they think will happen. In all honesty the guys that write the checks that count are use to dealing with high profile business deals that are tight lipped until it happens. And I don't think this will be any different. Last Gruden go around we had sightings at resturants, boosters who said it was a done deal, and nothing ever happened. Heck after it was over Gruden said he was never even contacted and I don't know what reason he would have to lie about it after the fact.

Exactly!
The mega million and billionaire class are making deals and transactions that would get them investigated and jailed by the SEC ( securities not football) if word gets out before the deal is sealed and ready for public announcement. Keeping these negotiations secret is common practice at that level.
I believe this is no different. To reveal prematurely could only weaken their position and jeapordise the deal.

That being said- I’m still feeling Grudey!!!

He really doesn't have to prove anything to us,he has said enough and if he is right we will find out pretty soon. If he is wrong you will never hear from him again.

True, and fair. Some will look like a genius for believing, or some will look like a genius for calling him out.

your sources are confirmed, well done my friend.

And Allan loves nothing more than to be a part of the cool crowd. And THAT is first hand information.

I know him, only because it's a small town. He doesn't plant a tree in this town without his name engraved under the tree. People should be mindful, he's also the man that supplies ESPN with their suits for special occasions.

I think MIT if FOS however I still think we land Gruden.....MIT knows nothing more than putting a few pieces together after reading some forums....

honestly, how can you have a done deal when the 1st piece (Jones firing) hasn't even happened yet, governing bodies tend to frown upon things of this nature......

A tree? He doesn't plant a daisy without it. Looks like I can call you a home-girl. :)

Good morning everyone! I just caught up and I won't be around until this afternoon so I would really appreciate it if y'all would refrain from posting until then. Thanks in advance!

Here are my thoughts on the overnight posts:
-UTVolinExile and I are home-people. I'd say home-boys, but as you know, I'm a woman.

- Other than the line on Gruden dropping, the Beav has said nothing verifiable. And I don't think the line dropping proves a whole lot. If it went from 1000 to 200 in an hour, I'd say differently. Also, I don't feel that he has provided any evidence of location that is indisputable. I think he's chilling in Chattanooga.

-I applaud whoever that was that brought the info about state of Tennessee hiring procedures, and I don't dispute those things. I just believe for various reasons that Butch's severance date was last Tuesday-ish. The buyout agreement may have even included language allowing the negotiating going on while he was still acting as HC. Obviously it could be argued that he has been acting like a head coach for a while now, but still.

I didn't see anything else to speak of from overnight. Check ya later!

Edited to add: in fact, I think the Beav has given too much identifying info to actually be an insider.

Also, Gruden's son's last high school game is Nov 3rd which lines up with the "after Kentucky" stuff.

Sharp Lady.

As I said earlier, if I was a Vegas guy and wanted to do some "insider trading" Id jump on the boards and swing the odds in my favor by "wagging the dog"...

Keep that in mind.

Soon enough all will be known.

Soon, but not too soon.

Never been fired, but I absolutely despise the fact that in this country you can be fired for pretty much anything (or nothing at all). One of the bigger injustices out there IMO that just gets glossed over.

The other side to that is having to hold onto a crap employee a lot longer than you should just because they fall into a "protected" class and you have to take the time (i.e. continue to lose money) to properly document so you can terminate in hopes of not getting sued by said crap employee.

Will the Gruden thread transcend the game day thread today? I don't remember from last time around if it did.

I just don't believe this type of sensitive information gets posted on a message board by someone that actually knows. Then posts personal information about themselves for everyone to see, just to prove he's telling the truth.

I mean, come on.

Yeah, I’m not being a negagrude, I’ve just not seen anything happen that anybody couldn’t predict, and he’s posted nothing confirming the “facts” of the deal he says has happened. Maybe I missed it?

He said the line would move in the next couple of days and it did, he said there would start to see VFLs/media leaking info and shortly after the Albert Haynesworth twitter bio change and tweet, and he said there would be a misinformation campaign started. I'm still skeptical myself though.

Morning.

Caught up on the festivities from last night.

Was hoping for more BOOM! and less blah. Seems Beav's a fake, huh? That's depressing. 😩😖

All of that is pretty typical, he’s like a palm reader or that fortune in the Chinese cookie, Tells you broad things that can be easily interpreted into meaning anything you want to see happening.
He’s a bsitter
