If what a lot have posted is true & CBJ wants out to save credibility for future coaching & Currie knows this & wants to negotiate the best buyout possible then Currie would have the upper hand. He can be patient & let the turmoil build for CBJ & force him into a better buyout for TN. So it would stand to reason that if Gurden or whoever cant start til after the season then you tell Butch you will have to coach til the end of the year. CBJ cant tank it if he wants to get another job and then once you are in position to either get the buyout you want or the coach you want you pull the trigger. This would explain conflicting reports on the timeline for the departure of CBJ
Doesn't matter what the profession is, it's never a good idea to fire someone and let him continue in the work place. I've seen this first hand and I can tell you for a fact---it's a bad idea.
